Tourist House Ghiberti was an incredible surprise. My fiance and I travel frequently, and look for the best value for the dollar (particularly in Europe). At only 110 Euros per night (less expensive if you pay in cash), this was what we call a complete steal. We've stayed in everything from hostels to apartments to B & Bs and the...

I highly recommend Tourist House Ghiberti. It has a B&B/boutique hotel atmosphere. Our room was quite large and nicely decorated. The room also had a PC with Internet access. The location near the Duomo was very convenient. The service here was excellent as both Claudio and Christelle made reservations and provided us with bus schedules for the surrounding area.

My wife and I stayed at the Tourist House Ghiberti for 3 nights in October 2005, after reviewing the TripAdvisor reviews.. Prior to booking I must admit I tossed up between the idea of staying outside Florence and travelling in, versus staying inside Florence and travelling out to the countryside of Tuscany. Well, given that you HAVE TO have a...

My husband and I just got back from a 10 day trip to Italy. We spent 3 nights at the Tourist House Ghiberti and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Claudio and Christelle have created a beautiful oasis in the big, sometimes overwhelming, city of Florence. It was a delight to come back to the immaculate rooms with lots of attention...

We recently returned from a six night stay at the THG. The location was perfect, just behind the Duomo. Claudio keeps a spotless B & B. Our room was large, bathroom too! The free internet was nice. Claudio made some good suggestions for dinner and answered any other questions that we had. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed there for two nights in June and loved it. Apart from the entrance downstairs (which would encourage you to turn around and leave) it was superb. Very spacious room, incredible location - would definitely stay there on next visit.

We stayed at the THG for 4 nights this September. Claudio was very helpful with all our questions and inquiries. He helped us with restaurant info, tourist site information, etc. He also made us a wonderful cappaccino each morning! We loved our very large room, with wonderfully artistic high ceilings. The bathroom was HUGE and modern. The guest house was...

My husband & I recently stayed here for 6 nights. What a little gem Tourist House Ghiberti is! It's in a great location and we walked everywhere from it. The rooms (5 in total) are spacious and spotless with a great bathroom, air con, 24hr internet connection & mini bar. Claudio was great and nothing was a problem and he...

This is truly a gem in the middle of Florence, very centrally located. The rooms are spacious with beautiful bathrooms. I would ask for a room away from the street, as it can be noisy. If you are looking for a great location, very large room in the middle of the Florence then this Hotel is for you. Please take...

My husband and I stayed at the Tourist House Ghiberti July 18 to July 20, 2005. This is a lovely B & B with some very nice touches. The washroom was modern and bright. There was a computer in the room with free internet access which was very convenient. The mini bar was well stocked and the prices were extremely...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
