We stayed at the Perseo for four nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The rooms were up-to-date and very clean; the location of the hotel was ideal (the Duomo was essentially out the front door and the rest of Florence was easily reachable with a short walk); and, most importantly, the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Would...

I arrived with my daughter to find a friendly smile at the front desk and a lovely welcome as we arrived from London. Every person at the desk was helpful. The breakfast was perfect each morning and the rooms were spotless and clean.

Very nice room, no problems with anything. Location can't be beat, walkable from train station and to everywhere we wanted to go. We never used a cab/bus or anything but our feet. Lobby is not on ground floor, so make sure you are looking for the sign for the hotel and the logo or you might walk past the building....

We stayed here for two nights on our two week trip to Italy. This was a great hotel. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything. We strongly recommend walking to the central market, getting some cheese and salami sliced and heading to a park bench with a bottle of wine for lunch. The room had plenty of...

My husband and I stayed here last summer and really enjoyed this hotel. They had free wine and munchies in the evening. The location is fabulous! We were concerned about the noise from the bell tower, but we never heard it, the windows are really good. The staff was great! They saved us from making a horrible mistake and going...

Just blocks away from the train station and steps away from the Duomo, this hotel had an unassuming entrance, but exceeded our expectations once inside. Our room was a decent size and looked like it had recently been upgraded and remodeled. The bathroom was newly tiled and sparkling clean when we arrived. But the real positive for us was the...

hotel Perseo had the best location in Florence; minutes walk from the Duomo and everything else... the staff speak perfect English and can help you with any request. Plus they're super friendly. The rooms are quite sparse, this is not luxury hotel but it is very clean and enough for those who are only using their rooms to rest after...

Laura and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful in our trip to Florence. She is absolutely the best. She and Tani helped us make museum reservations that were exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were comfy and showers were fine. We had a great trip and were extremely happy with our...

I was here June 5th - 9th. Had a beautiful, very modern, chic room Looked brand new. The staff was always helpful and accomodating. Answered my questions on sight-seeing, bus to Siena and WiFi (it's free in the common areas). Before I arrived, I e-mailed them to make reservations for me at the Accademia which was done. I also asked...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
