Dei Mori is located on a tiny square that vibrates at night from the energy of restaurants, cafes and people. Down the block from Dante's house, Dei Mori is very well located and all sights are walkable. Rosana, our hostess, was super! Don't ignore her restaurant recommendations or her suggestion for the best gelato shop. The place was clean, safe,...

I stayed overnight here in October of 2014. Rosanna was lovely and very welcoming. The room was nicely appointed. Although the bathrooms are private, it is down the hall, which is not atypical in places like that that have been converted. The sitting room was pleasant and airy. My favorite part about the place is how close it is to...

I loved everything about my stay at Dei Mori! The room was very comfortable, the location was fantastic, and more than anything the atmosphere of Dei Mori is so warm and welcoming that I felt at home as soon as I walked in the door. I also loved the little details that made it inviting and homey, like the way...

This was our first time to Florence and we could not have been more impressed by Dei Mori. The Rooms and B&B space were so cozy and comfortable. Danny sat down with us one and one and showed us all of the sights we should see on a very easy to read map. He also provided us with a list...

There was no problem on the checking in because we arrived around 11am. Location was just in the middle of the shops, restaurants and museums - PERFECT! Danny - was absolutely helpful about our itinerary. The most important thing was the breakfast, It was almost perfect. We enjoyed every minute staying here. Wifi was okey. If there's one thing I...

We had a late arrival to Dei Mori and admittedly, I was remiss in providing the proprietor details until we were en route. Still, they were expecting us and we were confirmed for a midnight arrival. We arrived and no one greeted us! We rang to no avail...and phoned with no answer upon arrival. Fortunately, we were befriended by locals...

We note that this review together with the one which follows with the title ‘Good on Paper’ are from two different members of the same party. While they of course exercised their right to make individual reviews we feel that one response will serve both as the issues raised are of course similar. As I look down, interestingly the next...

By the time we arrived via taxi to Dei Mori, it was midnight and we were ready for bed. We had made arrangements with Danny, the proprietor, for a late arrival but when buzzed front door there was no answer. After several attempts we were assisted by locals in calling Dei Mori to no avail. Those same locals helped us...

Dei Mori is a place I am actually quite reluctant to write a review about. The reason: it is too good and I want yo keep this wonderful place to myself! :) It really is amazing! Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

Castel San Niccolo, Italy

Was she talking about Danny at The DeiMori ???!!

“Not welcoming if client not to owner standards!”

Please be aware that this B&B is on the 2nd floor (as in Europe this is actually 3rd floor, with 47 winding stairs and NO elevator!)

Our group was combo midlife/young adults, carrying suitcases made for 3 weeks in Europe.

We arrived later than usual so had a quick talk done by owner at the 'kitchen' table. Informative, yes. Condescending, also yes. One of our group had been to Firenza before so we had a plan in mind. Our plan was essentially poo-pooed.

His recommendation for pizza dinner was mediocre at best. The only place we liked that he told us of was a gelato place nearby B&B.

He actually said that 4€ did not make or break him so to take his suggestions or not, it did not matter. We did not mention that he recommended us to the pizzaria.

Bed mattresses are wool/cotton sides, thin with slats of wood as box spring. Very uncomfortable. Owner stated they were of high quality, not by our standards.

Breakfast of coffee, microwave croissants, yogurt, bread (for toast) & juice were fine. Told that's a typical Italian breakfast, although our first Italian stop made us eggs, meat & crepes as well.

Only common room space is small living room (4 can sit) then outside a long narrow balcony where 4 more can sit (right beside scaffolding for next door renos. We moved indoors one morning as a wheelbarrow of concrete was hoisted from the street up passed us.)

Wifi only works in common room or nearest bedroom. If you are down the hall, forget it!

Good location in middle of old town...this is only good feature of this B&B.

Would not recommend.
