You couldn't ask for a more central location: it's just a short walk to most anything visitors want to see, and so easy to stop back for a minute to grab something you forgot, or drop something off. Our room, #4, was small, and the bathroom tiny, with glass in the door that was not clear, but did not provide...

We stayed three nights at Dei Mori and enjoyed every minute of it! The staff are very friendly and provided us with a very warm welcome upon our arrival. The rooms are simple and nice. The b&b has a very warm and homey atmosphere (not at all like a corporate hotel!) And the location is just perfect (it couldn't be...

I stayed at the Dei Mori Guesthouse for two nights while traveling through Florence on my own. The hotel was located in the centre of town, so it was super convenient to walk to all of the sites. The place had a lot of character and charm. My room was pretty big; it could have slept three comfortably, and it...

I don't think there is a better location in Florence. You are within walking distance of the train station and every other major tourist attraction. You are within two blocks of the Duomo, yet located on a small quiet street just off a main shopping street. The rooms are clean and the breakfast was what you would expect in an...

This B & B is located in the heart of historic Florence. The rooms are up six flights of stairs on the 4th floor. You need to be able bodied. This B & B is not owner operated. The accommodations were clean and basic. AC available for an extra charge. Good for spending the night after exploring Florence. The breakfast...

My needs when travelling are fairly simple, and Dei Mori satisfied most of them. (1) A good bed - YES. So comfortable!!! (2) convenient location - YES. So close to the Duomo and, within walking distance of many places I wanted to visit. (3) A little peace and quiet - YES. Although it is very centrally located and the surrounding...

Stayed here very happily five years ago and the hosts Danny and Susanna were fantastic. On my return visit both had moved on. The woman who greeted me Rozanna (?) was lovely and kindly helped me with my bags. As I was out most of the day I didn't see much of her again. But the other woman who arranged...

The location right in the heart of Florence would be enough to make any hotel good but Dei Mori goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and welcomed. They gave us wonderful advice on where to eat, skipping museum lines, and where to see the best fireworks on NYE. The staff is extremely kind and are absolutely...

We had a lovely stay at this B&B. Just like being at a friends place. Relaxed and comfortable. You walk out the door and you are in the heart of Florence. There is a great bar next door and restaurants were just on the same street. Big fluffy towels.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

Castel San Niccolo, Italy

Was she talking about Danny at The DeiMori ???!!

“Not welcoming if client not to owner standards!”

Please be aware that this B&B is on the 2nd floor (as in Europe this is actually 3rd floor, with 47 winding stairs and NO elevator!)

Our group was combo midlife/young adults, carrying suitcases made for 3 weeks in Europe.

We arrived later than usual so had a quick talk done by owner at the 'kitchen' table. Informative, yes. Condescending, also yes. One of our group had been to Firenza before so we had a plan in mind. Our plan was essentially poo-pooed.

His recommendation for pizza dinner was mediocre at best. The only place we liked that he told us of was a gelato place nearby B&B.

He actually said that 4€ did not make or break him so to take his suggestions or not, it did not matter. We did not mention that he recommended us to the pizzaria.

Bed mattresses are wool/cotton sides, thin with slats of wood as box spring. Very uncomfortable. Owner stated they were of high quality, not by our standards.

Breakfast of coffee, microwave croissants, yogurt, bread (for toast) & juice were fine. Told that's a typical Italian breakfast, although our first Italian stop made us eggs, meat & crepes as well.

Only common room space is small living room (4 can sit) then outside a long narrow balcony where 4 more can sit (right beside scaffolding for next door renos. We moved indoors one morning as a wheelbarrow of concrete was hoisted from the street up passed us.)

Wifi only works in common room or nearest bedroom. If you are down the hall, forget it!

Good location in middle of old town...this is only good feature of this B&B.

Would not recommend.
