This hotel was a pleasant stay after the previous hotel we had stayed at in Rome. The room was clean, spacious, had plenty of storage and had a cute balcony that we shared with two or three other rooms that you could have a nice cup of morning coffee on or a nice dinner on. The location is about a...

The property was near the center of the city. The main gate and the second gate made the property more secure. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. And the money goes for a good purpose, to support children from problematic families. The noise is big problem from the bars at the street. No AC. The WiFi was only accessible...

This was a great hostal to stay in whilst visiting Florence. As Florence is an expensive city this was great as compensation. The hostal is large and isn't too far from the centre. The rooms are clean and comfortable with private bathrooms, which is a must for me. It's simple but just right for a night or two.

Searching for a room with a good price/value in the high season in Florence i have discovered this very nice hostel. Ideally if you travel with kids as rooms are very big and they offer different sizes of rooms. Although the hostel is in the middle of the city, it is very calm and in the morning you can even...

This is a great option in Florence. Hotels are really pricey here, so this was an outstanding value. You’re staying in a palace at the price of a very basic Florence hotel. Clean rooms, nothing fancy, but comfortable, with private bath and air conditioning. The beds can be hit or miss—some comfy, some not so much. It’s an easy walk...

if you know what to expect, this is a dream for budget travellers. clean, inexpensive. it's a convent, so don't expect luxury--but for the price and do-goodedness it can't be beat. cute little library on top floor with guidebooks left by tourists past in many languages. we didn't have mosquito issues in late June, but were facing the street and...

I stayed at the Gould for 2 months one summer and loved every minute of it. It has a quaint charm and really became my home. It is clean and the people are friendly. Loved the Gould and will stay any time I return to Florence.

We stayed here for our one night in Florence in May of 2011. The accommodations are basic but clean, comfortable, in a good location and we only paid 62 euro per night for the two of us. Best of all, the revenues raised go to support this worthwhile charity. This place does have a bit of a ‘school dorm’ feel...

We stayed at the Instituto Gould (Foresteria) hostel in Florence, Italy July 28, 29 and 20, 2009. We are grandparents who brought our two granddaughters to Italy for their graduation (ages 19 and 17). We were at the hostel for three days and in those days our beds were never made nor was our room tidied. We got clean towels...

I stayed with my partner for one week in this wonderful hostel housed inside a 17th century Palazzo. The hostel is run by the Anglican Church and the price is very inexpensive. The location is great, you can walk to the train station as well as all the main sites like the Ponte Vechio, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vechio and the...
