From the staff to the rooms to the lounge, everything we experienced in this hotel was perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Florence.

Stayed here for a night in June 2012. Location was good for site seeing. There was a heat wave when we visitied, and unlike many hotels in Italy, the air conditioning in the room worked very well. Common areas, however, were not very cool. Breakfast was nice, as was rooftop garden. Room and bathroom were roomy. Cons: Our room was...

Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife. Nice hotel wih friendly staff. It's is a historic building with many antiques and nice pictures. The terrace is lovely and not too expensive for drinks. Breakfast was ok and coffee was nice. The room was spacious but the free wifi did not work in my room. I mentioned this to the...

The hotel is perfectly situated to visit Firenze. Every touristattraction is within walking distance, except for the Piazza Michelangelo.(Which still can be done when you are young or in a better shape than me. The breakfast is very good, rooms are basic and small but every- thing you need is there. There is an elevator but depending on the room you...

Pros: Great location near fine shops & close to the Uffizzi, nice breakfast buffet, lovely outdoor terrace, large room & bathroom, front desk will help you garage your car for a fee. Cons: Old & stuffy-like spending the night in a museum, didn't receive requested wake-up call, couldn't get wi-fi in room, dusty chandelier, maze-like corridors (if there's a fire...

I spent last weekend in Florence with my international colleagues for business and fun. I did not chose this hotel, but I am very glad somebody did. Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci is close to major sights at Florence and you can easily walk to all of them. Even on a busy schedule I was able to see a lot of Florence....

If your looking for the "Sheraton" experience look elsewhere! The good points. The hotel is very central ,on the prime shopping street of the city,5 minutes walk from the bus and railway station (you will need a map!) and within 5/10 minutes walk of the major tourist destinations. It is full of character and every room is different (very...)The room...

It is a nice, historical hotel, with a small but beautiful terrace over the rooftops of the city. The hotel is clean, the service is good and the rooms are pretty, even if we can hear the "sound of the street" (if the room is on the street side). The most remarkable, however, is the hotel's decoration : feels like...

Stayed at Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci for two nights. Elegant hotel with lots of character. I really don't see how any two rooms could be the same here. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Note to someone that has problems with steps - you either want to avoid this hotel or you want to be very clear that you...

First time ever in Europe so was not sure what to expect. Booked this hotel based on reviews here and was not disappointed. Spacious, clean room with new bathroom, complimentary breakfast and internet but the best part was the location. Hotel was walking distance from all attractions....Piazza Michelangelo, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace, Duomo as well as THE BEST...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
