This hotel situated in an old palace and stuffed full of antiques had so much charm and character, it was a pleasure to stay in. Yes, everything is old including the noisy toilet systems, but being otherwise quietly situated this still ended up being the quietest and most restful hotel we stayed at during our tour of Italian cities. The...

This hotel may not be what many would consider a five star hotel in the sense of luxurious rooms and the ultimate in bathrooms but what it lacks in this area it more than makes up for in its charm - it is all heart. The location is ideal, overlooking a garden and very peaceful but only ten minutes from...

My family and I recently spent seven days at Hotel Annalena. They accommodated our large family well between two rooms (mom, dad, four kids, and grandma). The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was good. They found us an excellent tour guide, recommended restaurants and day trips, and helped us with cabs to the airport....

It feels as if the decor hasn't changed since the 1970s, but that was a bonus for me. Not slick or corporate, this place has charm and friendliness which made the eccentric shower arrangements in our room pale into insignificance. Also I loved the location - opposite the Boboli gardens on the south side of the river so away from...

Twice I have stayed at Hotel Annalena, the last time for nearly ten days. And it's charm never wavers, as it makes for a lovely home away from home. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Each room has its own uniqueness and charm that makes one feel a part of the history of Florence. I await my return, where...

Great location walking distance to almost everything! We had a lovely time there hotel staff are beyond brilliant! Very helpful, very accommodating, and two nights there were pleasant. Lovely experience, at first you might be surprised when you walk in, but once your there you will appreciate it.

I have meant to write a review since returning from Florence so I am a bit late in getting this done. Travelled to Florence in July 2016 for a wedding. This hotel is amazing- clean, comfortable, friendly staff and the most impressive continental breakfast I have ever had. The location is perfect- within walking distance to the main centre of...

I have been in Florence for over 30 years. Some time for only one night, sometimes for a complete week. Since I found Annalena I always come back to that Hotel. I love the people who are very friendly and give you a perfect 24 hours service. Located close to Palazzo Pitti you’ll reach all the nice and famous places...

The hotel is of faded charm and elegance of times gone by. Its great advantage: the Annalena offers single rooms and prices. You might ask for a room with a part of a balcony, table and chair, overlooking a quiet garden. It makes up for the tight quarters of a single room. Nothing is luxurious, but the essentials are there,...

Annalena is well situated just a tram journey away from attractions. The staff are very welcoming nothing is too much trouble, particularly Lara. It was nice to be able to sit outside on warm evenings.
