Had a wonderful three night stay in September. The hotel offered everything we needed, and was central to all of the major sights. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options, and the coffee was the best we encountered on our 10 day trip. Being terrified of heights, I was unsure about the tower. The climb up was manageable, with plenty...

We stayed at the Torre Guelfa in for 3 nights in September and paid extra for a slightly better room. This turned out to be 2 rooms, not just 1 as expected, on the 2nd floor. The hotel is ideally situated for the centre of florence and all the main attractions, being just a stone's throw from the Ponte Vecchio...

We stayed in this hotel in the middle of August. Location is very good. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but stayed only 1. First of all our room. I truly don't know that we just got their worst room, because the pictures looked nice when we looked it up, but It was rundown, dirty. Terrible bathroom. Looked like...

My wife and I stayed here recently while visiting Florence on the recommendation of a friend. We took a taxi from the airport and the driver took us to the door for approximately 25 euro's. The hotel is located a very short walk from the main tourist area and within 20 minutes from all of the attractions: Accadamia, Il Duomo,...

My daughter and I recently spent three nights at the Torre Guelfa Hotel, and the entire experience was positive. The front desk personnel were all extremely friendly and helpful. Particular mention needs to go to Luigi, who, while on his way home on the night of our arrival, spotted us in a crowded piazza looking rather lost, and gave us...

Just back from a 3 day break to Florence and booked this hotel due to the good comments on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Lovely hotel in a cobbled street. Room was small but adequate with an extremely comfortable four poster bed. Room and bathroom were immaculately clean and we couldn't find fault with this lovely hotel. Buffet breakfast was...

A great hotel! We stayed (off another TripAdvisor's recommendation) in room 204....a huge room, basically a suite. An excellent value. Location was great, the street pretty quiet and the staff pretty helpful. Room was old fashion style, with tapestries and a four poster bed, and was spotless. The tub AND shower was an added bonus. Our only negative...wifi does not...

Great hotel to stay in. Location was perfect for the major sights. The staff was fantastic, they were very helpful in accommodating us. Great recommendations for restaurants and wine bars. The view from the terrace on the top of the tower was amazing. The only negative comment that we have was the breakfast was less than what we normally received...

My husband and I traveled to Florence with Rick Steves, Torre Guelfa was the selected hotel during our stay and we were delighted with the choice. Its location is perfect! The hotel has been restored and provides the charm of traditional, elegant Italy and comfortable beds, impeccable bathrooms, availability of WiFi and -- for news junkies, cable TV. Across the...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Room was nice, large, comfortable. Shower leaked, but there was also a tub which met our needs. Staff was helpful. Location very convenient. Breakfast was adequate for our needs.
