If you are the person who favors an impersonal hotel that comes with a king-sized bed, a giant bathroom and looks the same in Florence, Italy as Florence, Alabama, don't stay at Hotel Torre Guelfa. However, if you like the idea of staying in a 13th century tower, with a clean room, a comfortable bed, hospitable staff and being within...

We booked the room with the terrace and were very happy. We had a glass of wine on the terrace every afternoon, and enjoyed the tower views where we enjoyed the sunsets. The location was fantastic, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had a little trouble driving to the hotel - we followed the directions posted on...

This outstanding hotel is in a wonderful location around the corner from the Ponte Vecchio and within walking distance of everything in Florence. We drank wine on the roof top overlooking the Arno and watched the glorious sunsets !

We really loved this hotel. Although it was cold outside the hotel was warm and staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and the common parts splendid. The tower itself has fantastic views across the city. Great breakfasts in a lovely loggia area on the third floor. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I have traveled to Florence several times, and I think the location of this hotel is just about perfect. Florence is so charming and so walkable and so full of wonderful sights and adventures, it's easy to get overwhelmed with options. Torre Guelfa is perfectly situated to explore Oltrarno, the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi, Palazzo Strozzi and so much more....

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in Sept 2011 for 2 nights. The rooms are GORGEOUS - the shower and bathroom was amazing - breakfast was delicious - the common area was adorable but best of all was the roof top! Breathtaking view of Florence, incredible location and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. We were...

We absolutely loved this little boutique hotel in the centre of Florence. The building is an old family palace that has been converted to a hotel. Consequently it has an abundance of character and lovely original features including a tower with views of the entire city. Our room was large and comfortable with a "princess" bed while the bathroom was...

Wow, what a great place. First, they are very friendly and helpful and introduced us to a small Mom and Pop type Italian restaurant around the corner that became our favourite place -- went back many times and the staff got to know us and were so kind to us! I digress... We had a beautiful room that faced the...

I've been to Florence several times. If you stay in the centre it's going to be a touch noisy but we heard little road noise and although we did not have a room with a view it was lovely.as was the breakfast and the friendly staff

Outdated rooms, except for updated bathrooms. Very limited internet. Complain and they will make you feeli like you are the problem. If you would like to get up at four AM, pick the from we had because the noise in the alley will wake you up. We asked to have our room changed and they could not help us out...

Neighbourhood Profile
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries.
