Lets start by saying that Florence is a beautiful city, and this hotel is in the very center of it, the location is just Perfect!!! It is about 10 minutes walk from Florence central train station ( Firenze SMN) and for everything else you are right there. 3 blocks to the Duomo, 5 minutes to ponte vechio, 5 min to...

Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable. A small balcony overlooked a quiet courtyard. The breakfast was very generous and was sufficient for us to get through a busy day of sightseeing. But best of all was the staff. We had some misunderstanding with a third-party booking agent, but the hotel staff cleared up matters perfectly. Everyone on the staff...

This hotel was central to most of the sights in Florence. The room was ready and AC. Shower was a little small. But overall it was a great place to stay. Access was in a backstreet but had a lot of restaurants and shops handy.

I stayed at Albergo Firenze a week ago for 4 nights. The location is phenomenal. The staff were very friendly, especially the kind gentleman who checked me in. + In the heart of Firenze - great! + Cute hotel, cute room. - I didn't like the breakfast. - A towel (a single one that was dirty) that we wanted to be changed (we clearly marked it as such) was folded and put back to our other towels!! It wasn't changed!! We are sure about this as we "marked"...

Can't beat the location of this hotel. Within walking distance to all the major attractions (Duomo, Academia, Ufizzi, Shopping and plenty of places to eat). Even the train station is a 10 minute walk. Rooms are a little dated but clean. A/C unit was noisy, bed not very comfortable. Free breakfast ok but nothing to write home about.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while in Florence. We made this decision based on other reviews we read. We made the right decision. This is a great location and a great little hotel. The air conditioning was awesome and for those from the US that is a big plus in the summer! The noise level on the...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
