Palazzo Magnani Feroni is an historical home that for over five hundred years has been at the centre of Florence's aristocratic life: one of the oldest dwellings in the San Frediano neighbourhood, it has stood as an important symbol of the city's history and its artistic value. The class of this elegant renaissance palace, evident upon entering, finds its maximum expression in the sumptuous suites and the luxurious hospitality quarters, furnished with candelabra, statues, paintings and frescoes form the '500. Each suite reflects the refinement of the Renaissance style, with the subtle combination of comfort and modern technology and decorated with tasteful antique furnishings and materials originating from the owners' ancestors' antique collection. Spanning between 80- and 120-square meters (860- and 1300- square feet) in size, the 13 suites each comprise a large living room, bedroom(s) and master bathroom(s). Each includes all amenities expected of a five-star luxury hotel, including stereo, satellite television in both the living room and bedroom, internet port and self-regulating air conditioning units. An architectural jewel of the 16th century, the Palazzo Magnani Feroni belongs to the National Register of Historical Monuments of the State of Italy. Detail and ornamentation characterises the building throughout, surprising the wanderer with frescoes, vaulted ceilings and intricate wood-carvings. The Renaissance decor prevails in this palace of traditional Florentine lay-out. Breakfast, for instance, is served in a 160-square meter salon with hand-crafted wood ceilings illuminated by a large original Murano chandelier. In the winter evenings, this salon serves as an intimate, candle-lit Bar, accessible to Palazzo guests and their friends only. The same rules are applicable to the adjoining Billiard Room, as well as to the In-House Gym, so as to assure the guests with absolute privacy. The beautiful Roof-Top Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and houses the Palazzo Bar as soon as the temperature permits. Providing 24-hour Reception and Service, the Palazzo Magnani Feroni is run by a staff dedicated to meet your every need with efficiency and discretion, both prior, during and following your stay. Services include reservations to exclusive restaurants, recommendations of typical local eateries and trattorias, coordination of privileged entrance to the city's museums, airport / train station pick-up, private shopping tours, visits to the Ferrari Museum and private, chauffeured excursions to the beautiful Chianti valley. Also, Palazzo guests choose from a selection of CDs, DVD films and soap fragrances for their suite, as well as benefit from private Guides to shopping and restaurants off the beaten path, personally written by the owners of the Palazzo for an "insider's view" of Florence.

Old fashioned elegance is the watchword here. Ancient building converted into an upmarket hotel. You won't find a lot of facilities here e.g no swimming pool or spa etc but you will have very large rooms in an excellent location near the river. Roof top bar is the perfect place f

Brilliant Firenze; brilliant Magnani Feroni!! Best rooms in Florence. Fab roof terrace. Close to everything, with a very “local” feel. We will definitely be back, and have zero hesitation in recommending the hotel to friends and family.

We loved this quirky and characterful hotel. You certainly get more space than any hotel I've previously stayed in. We were in a classic suite, tucked away at the back of the hotel with complete peace and quiet. It was enormous, with large double bedroom, two toilets, and two sho

Hello, I hear that there are no restaurants within the hotel property. How far are the restaurants in the area?
There are dozens of restaurants in the same street, and loads more in the surrounding streets. The location of this hotel is excellent for restaurants - especially as both value and quality seemed better south of the river. The staff at the desk are really helpful with recommendations too - they pointed us to an excellent vegetarian restaurant around the corner when we asked for veggie options. If you don't mind walking for five minutes, you can also go to Piazza San Spirito, which is a lovely square with restaurants where you can sit outside and enjoy the mellow evenings. And don't forget to go into the church - they have there own Michelangelo crucifix hanging in the sacristy, sculpted in wood when he was aged 18 as a 'thank you' to the priest who housed him there. An astonishingly powerful piece.

What are the "classic" suites like? Do any of the suites have a view and/or terrace? Thanks!
Dear Sir/Madam, Classic Suites, of approximately 60 square meters, are composed of a large salon, a bedroom and a bathroom with a whirlpool shower. They differ from the other Suites mainly in having a simpler but not less elegant décor and in having slightly lower ceilings (3 meters instead of 5), not for this are they any less desirable. We don't have any suite with view of Florence, but you can enjoy a wonderful 360° view of the City from our roof top terrace, which is always open. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further information or assistance you might need. Kind regards Francesca Di Marco Front Desk Palazzo Magnani Feroni

We are excited about our week-long stay at Palazzo Magnani Feroni on Saturday March 14. May we have more information on airport pickup and on a private, chauffeured excursion to the Chianti valley? If possible, can you provide pricing and reservations information for these as welll? Greatly looking forward to our visit. Thank you so much! Faith Smith and Gordon Wilfong
Dear Mrs. Smith & Mr. Wilfong, Thank you for your kind request. We are pleased to inform you that we can organize private transfer from Florence airport to Palazzo Magnani Feroni by Mercedes Benz car and with English-speaking driver at Euro 60,00, or from Pisa airport at Euro 170,00. We can also arrange a variety of tours in the Chianti area, Siena and Pisa, we just sent you an e-mail with all the information. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Florence!
