My husband and I visited Florence this July and stayed at the Residenza where owners/hosts, Cinzia and Michel were waiting for us upon our arrival. They are warm and hospitable. We felt as if we were staying with old friends. Michel ensures that your morning breakfast is to your liking and really goes the extra mile. The location is excellent,...

Couldn't ask for a better place. The owners are so nice, knowledgeable and will give you the best of Florence without pretension! They also speak many languages and will make you feel comfortable without being overbearing. And the room! We stayed at the Henry James room, beautifully decorated with frescoed ceiling, clawfoot tub and big shower, great king size bed,...

The 1865 Residenzia D’epoca is undoubtedly a remarkable place to stay in Florence. It’s quirky, full of character and it has a true boutique hotel feel to it – when you come through the doors you know you are in for something special. The building dates back to 1865 and the renovation to reconvert the floor space took over 3...

We booked 1865 Residenza d'epoca based on reviews here on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed! If you are going to Florence and would like a stay in a wonderful B&B that is in a relatively quiet area, this is the place for you. First the accommodations - the place is a thoroughly modernized large apartment from the 1800s. You...

This bed & breakfast tops my list of places to stay in Italy. Besides its comfort and central location the service and attention to every detail exemplifies how all b&b's should be run. Our hosts could not have been nicer and more helpful with all of our needs. Breakfast was delicious, served with a friendly smile everyday. If you are...

This is a lovely boutique hotel, more of a B&B than hotel. It has just a few rooms and is located in a residential neighborhood in what looks like an apartment building. The place is beautifully decorated and the husband and wife team take great care of their guests. Our room had the original mural painted in the 1800's on...

We stayed here for two nights end of July and our stay can be easily described with one word: perfect! Our stay started with the very warm welcome of host Cynthia, a tour through the exquisite rooms of the lodging, the detailed explanation of all available features in our room (we loved the classical music in the bathroom) and insider...

Loved loved loved our hosts, they were incredibly sweet, nice and helpful. The breakfasts in the morning were good but the homemade panna cotta was INSANE. I need the recipe. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the room was beautiful. My favorite bathtub of the entire trip. The only thing is that we couldn't get the AC to be...

Absolutely perfect. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and spacious shower, clean and high quality linens and window treatments. Wonderful breakfast with fresh eggs, cheeses, assorted freshly cut fruits, yogurt and rolls. Beautiful historical breakfast/living area with tray of tea, coffee, and sweet wine available upon returning from a day of sightseeing in Florence. Location was near enough to walk...
