We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Argentina. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was very good for the price. Close to Santa Maria Novella Station. Breakfast was great and it was very convenient to have internet access available (computer supplied by the...More
We dropped our bags in the room then spent a wonderful evening sighseeing and drinking in the atmosphere. of Florence. We then returned to the hotel later in the evening after a superlative meal to a very dingy and loud room permeated by vespa's shooting...More
The hotel itself is lovely, but we did have a few problems. There were four of us traveling so we booked 2 rooms. Both were supposed to have 2 twin beds but when we arrived we were told that they had us down for one...More
Excellent location for train and access to sites. Really odd shower, with shower head reluctant to cooperate, and funny little seat in the bottom. Very small bathroom. Really great breakfast. Free internet in lounge. Close to supermarket and laundromat.

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
