The second phase of our whistle stop tour of Italy took us to the lovely city of Florence. Our base for the next two days was the Hotel Atlantic Palace, one of many similar looking places wedged into the narrow streets near the railway station. The receptionist was very pleasant and showed us to our room despite being quite busy....

If you are looking for a good base from witch to visit Florence i would not hesitate to recommend the Atlantic. The staff are very friendly and have very good English. The rooms are more than adequate for a city hotel. It is no more than than a 10 minute walk from the train station and the same from the heart of Florence.There...

Great location for the station and market! Don't rely on your phone map though, as it's convinced the hotel is a few metres away on the opposite side of the road. Within walking distance of pretty much everything too. The porter, Raymond, was particularly helpful and very friendly. Lots of choices for breakfast, so something for everyone; even the fussiest...

- Overall we were vert much disappointed with the hotel. The room was not very clean, especially the bathroom (there were stains in the bathtub), and the hairdryer was getti over-heating quickly so it was impossible to blow-dry hair in one go. The breakfast was extremely disappointing, the staff would not greeet us and they would not come to remove...

We were there for just a couple of nights thank goodness. To start with we were very disappointed to see our room which was quite run down compared to the pictures on TripAdvisor. Also the storage space is not practical. The cupboard did not have any shelves and the dressing table had no drawers. The air conditioning was not optimal and...

We stayed at this hotel for a week and I was so sad to leave! The room itself was very rustic and had a wonderful Italian feel to it but at the same time was kept clean every day. The welcome staff were fantastic; very friendly and helpful. They recommended some wonderful nearby hotels and even printed vouchers for the...

A converted convent, Atlantic Palace (Florence) has a charm found only in Italy. Our room was simple but comforting as much as comfortable; trimmed with the bustling sounds of the street but no so much as to offend or disturb. Moaners moan and expectations of some are beyond normality, but if you're a true holiday maker, the classical yet simple...

Not far from the main rail station this hotel has it all, lovely staff who are very attentive. Reception, sitting, bar and breakfast areas are beautiful and clean with amazing paintings and stunning furniture (writing desks were my favourite and the wooden bench seat). Bedrooms are quirky in an Italian style, the bedroom we stayed in had a sitting area...

We were looking forward to our stay as the hotel is close to the train station, tourist attractions, restaurants and cafes. The pictures look like a charming hotel with an interesting story. When we arrived the check in staff were very warm and welcoming however our room wasn't ready. No problem, we locked with luggage and went out and about....
