The hotel is in an excellent location outside the city on a leafy street. The staff are excellent and attentive. Frederico and his colleagues are happy to be your go to people. They were generous with lending us chargers and adapters and gave us all the time we needed when asking about getting around the city and taking trips outside...

I stayed for two nights at Hotel Villa Liberty and it was a great experience. Valerio was amazing on reception, happy to help, as was the guy who worked days (didn't catch his name). Location is fab, up in the woods and a short walk to the stunning views from Plaza Michelangiolo, as well as an easy walk along the...

We ordered this hotel on booking.com. It was cheap and we were very satisfied. The room was nice and clean. It is quite far away from the centre but for young people is ok. The breakfast was rich. We can recommend it.

Lovely hotel with lovely owners who provide lovely complimentary breakfast. Nothing beats little Italian hotels. The owners who are usually a family living there themselves relate to you as if you are their relative. Hospitality at its best. Hotel Liberty provides a big range of selections in their breakfast buffet - all complimentary. We loved it. It felt like our...

Nice little hotel on the outskirts on the south side of the Arno river. The room had a balcony facing the main road but it was quite small but since I was alone and only in it to sleep, it wasn't a problem. It was located about 3 km from the center of Florence. A nice walk but also a...

We stayed in hotel for one night and as many other, we booked it because of free parking. The free parking is not in the hotel property (this costs 10 EUR per day) but across the road on a public parking lot. So the free parking is a bit misleading but our car was fine there over night. The villa...

We stayed one night September 2015 on a driving trip through Europe. We booked this hotel based on free parking availability and cost. The hotel is situated in the outskirts of the city centre on a lovely street (a street which the hop on hop off bus actually drives down and mentions for its renaissance architecture). We arrived mid morning...

The hotel is located on a pleasant tree lined street. Although we were unable to check in early, there is free and easy parking across the street in the lot. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the bus stop, which takes you directly to the city center. (The hotel map also says that it is a 25 min walk...

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!

“We had a room at the rear corner of the hotel and all the smokers congregated outside our window at a designated smoking area, which was annoying. So we did not want to open our windows.”

“As it was a traditional family house, so better stay in the former main room, wich has more space and facilities...but all the rooms seemed ok to me, after giving a quick look on them.”

“One of the room on the last floor has a funny balcony which is like a walk-in closet without roof. if allows light and fresh air in the room, but lack views. It has chairs and small table which is convenient if you smoke. But if you don't you might want to ask for other room with window instead of balcony.”
