Stayed here for a short break. The hotel is situated right on the river just 200 metres from the Ponte Vecchia. The Duomo and the attractions and restaurants in the heart of Florence are just a 10 to 15 minute stroll away. The hotel has a slightly formal air but the (mostly male) staff are immensely helpful and polite. Our...

We loved our stay at this hotel. We had a room overlooking the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio bridge. Everyone was so nice and helpful. A special shout out to the barman who made the most incredible drinks. Beds were comfy and bathroom big and extremely clean. The FAB was fabulous and the dining room attendants made you feel special...

Right on the river in the old part of town, a great place to stay. You can walk all over the old/central part of the city of Florence. It's right on the river. Helpful staff. Great breakfast for those who have it included. You can get to many areas of tourist interest from this hotel. There is no restaurant but...

I cannot praise everything about this hotel highly enough. The beautiful interior of Hotel Berchielli is an Art Deco gem. Everyone was very friendly & helpful; nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast selection served in a beautiful, light & airy dining room - material napkins too. Bedrooms are comfortable, airy & spotlessly clean. The beautifully tiled bathroom has a...

We stayed for four nights in February and found the hotel to be very good. Well maintained, rooms up to an excellent standard. Staff were very helpful and moved us to another room without any fuss when we had a problem. Breakfast was good, plenty to choose from and didn't run out of anything. The hotel is in a great...

Very cute old hotel right on river Arno. Ponte Vecchio on one side and Via Tornabuoni (shopping) on the other side. 10 minutes walk (if even) to Il Duomo, less to Palazzo Vecchio and Galleria Uffizi. A short walk over Ponte Vecchio gets you to Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, and a 20+/- walk uphill across the river gets you...

Nice hotel but be aware there are no coffee or tea making facilities within the rooms, with "safety issues" stated as being the reason. It is the only hotel in the World I've stayed at that hasn't been able to offer this service. That said, the location is superb for easy access to the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, the...

Dear Guests, the decision not to install a tea/coffee maker was exclusively due to safety reasons but we realise that an increasing number of guests is asking for this service therefore we will consider equipping the rooms. We are sorry the maid only placed 3 cushions on the bed but we notice that it was corrected quickly. We presume all...

This is a winner in all respects! Great location. Walk to everything. Great breakfast, and served till 11am. Small friendly quiet bar area for a drink. Room was lovely. Linens magnificent, and so Italian in quality. Please God we will be back soon! Amazingly, weather was great, and February is an excellent time to visit this remarkable city.

A tradional Italian hotel, beautiful location and bridge views (we had deluxe river view rooms). We were on 1st floor, so a bit of late night noise, higher floors would be better. Helpful staff at Reception. Good choice for breakfast, would have preferred stronger coffee though. Overall, ideal for a stay in the beautiful city of Florence!

Dear Guests, all our rooms are double glazed but clients wishing very very quiet rooms should perhaps ask for side rooms. Our American coffee is usually considered very good but it is always possible to ask for stronger coffee to the breakfast staff. We are pleased anyhow that your stay at our Hotel Berchielli was overall ideal. Kind regards. Massimo...

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
