This is a beautiful hotel with lots of period features along side modern wifi and jacuzzi baths. A lovely courtyard garden and lots of antique furniture as well as the Monna Lisa room complete with lots of funny takes on the classic painting. All staff were really friendly and helpful. A great spread of food available for the continental breakfast....

The evening receptionist was very friendly and extremely helpful. The building/grounds were very nice, and the location was great. Our room was OK - the bathroom was very small, with no counter space. Rooms in the newer section may be more accommodating...

We have just returned from 3 nights at the Hotel Monna Lisa, Its a lovely hotel not far from the Duomo (5 min walk). Our room was delightful, quite roomy, nice bathroom, the bath was a whirlpool bath. There was no shower curtain thou which I would have preferred and the window in our room was high and we couldn't...

I really loved my stay here. The ambiance, and decor were eclectic, and old world, and the staff were very, very friendly. Shout out to Erica who was especially helpful. Florence seems to be an easy city to navigate, and I was glad to have a whole week there. Monna Lisa really felt like home. Wifi was not good.

We had the most wonderful stay here. It really is like staying in an art museum or very grand Italian house. Our room was in the main part of the hotel and was huge with a canopied bed. We felt very special. The staff were delightful, all very friendly and helpful. We were given some excellent restaurant recommendations and help...

I recommend the Hotel especially to those planning to stay at least or more than a week; and seeking to be able to both carry out numerous work related activities and to enjoy the beautiful city as well as visits...

My Mother and I stayed here for 5 nights in October 2016 and I have waited until now to gain perspective on how we were treated, but I remain very angry and disappointed. The hotel is very nice. The room was well maintained and fresh and clean. The breakfast was bountiful and the staff in the breakfast room/bar, very nice...

This was our 3rd visit to Florence and we love it!! We even took another couple with us this time. We got a great deal on the BA website for 3 nights at the Hotel Monna Lisa plus flights for £150 each, flying from Heathrow to Pisa. Catching the bus at the airport is so easy, takes an hour and...

We wanted to spend a full week in Firenze and chose to revisit this hotel. The rooms, friendliness of staff and daily breakfast confirmed why we liked this hotel so much. The garden is beautiful and offers a welcome respite after long days of touring around. Numerous good restaurants within steps of the hotel kept us nearby this visit. Front...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
