This is a very difficult hotel to review because it has some positive points, but there were aspects of our stay that were very disappointing. Among the positives are the location (just around the corner from the train station) and the cleanliness. In terms of the rooms, I agree with some of the reviewers that they might need an update,...

I stayed here with a tour for 4 nights. I've stayed in a lot of European hotels and am well accustomed to the differences compared to American hotels. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel, but if I was booking the reservation and "paying" to stay I'd certainly pick somewhere else. It sounds like many others have had...

Thank you for the comments on your review. We are very pleased that you liked the position, the cleanliness and the front desk staff of our Hotel and we are sorry that you had a negative experience one morning at breakfast, some time it may happen that all our guests decide to have breakfast at the same time, therefore you...

The Albani is absolutely a 4 star hotel with great staff, breakfast and ambience. Our room (#8) was great, very quiet, and the location of the hotel is very convenient with a brief "around the corner" walk from the SMN Novella station. It is also in easy walking distance from the major sights of the city and makes taxi service...

We stayed in this hotel in Florence in June 2013. Very convenient and near the SMN Novella Station. Walking distance to the hotel . The hotel is a old heritage building with classy interiors. Staff is very good and courteous. The Duomo, Uffizi and Academia are all walking distance from the hotel...... We enjoyed our stay and will stay again....

The hotel itself is beautiful, well appointed, with terrific service delivered by its warm and friendly staff. I rate their service 5 star. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent and fun. Rooms are outstanding. The fitness center is adequate however does not...

Excellent hotel with very clean, roomy rooms. Bathrooms are roomy with nice towels and shower. The location is wonderful for train travelers and within an easy walk of most of the attractions in town. Air conditioning was also very nice. The staff was most helpful with all our travel needs and very informative. Breakfast was a nice hot meal in...

This hotel has a lot of pluses going for it. We specifically arrived by train and were able to walk to the hotel in five minutes. We arrived to prosecco and a fruit basket and had a great balcony off of our room. Our room was on the top floor and was a very good size. A mix of modern...

Hotel is extremely convenient! It's 1.5 blocks from the Santa Maria Novella Train Station which makes it really easy if you plan on taking any side trips or if you are going to your next destination by train. Walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and many of the main "attractions" in Florence. Hotel was clean, bright and airy....

I'm happy to report that the Hotel Albani has descent air conditioning. (though it's not freezing cold - it was adequate during a blistering heat wave in Florence (we had temperatures the high 90's/30's) and our room stayed (comfortable). I've traveled in Italy enough to know that some of the nicest hotels have horrible A/C (so the Albani at least...
