Detailed Reviews
Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Lovely building on the outside and inside, staff are extremely friendly and speak English also which helps as I cannot speak much Italian! The room was very spacious and stylish with amazing windows/shutters that open fully and you can watch the world go by. Very clean hotel and also satellite channels in the room for any fans of football. Very close to everything, IL duomo is only ten mins away, Ponte Vecchio is 2 mins, piazza de la republica is on the next street and piazza signoria is two mins away. Tons of cafes bars and restaurants to chose from. Breakfast was very nice also. We couldn't have had a nicer stay . If we find ourselves back in Florence this will be the first hotel we will be looking up.

This was my second time in Florence and staying at Hotel Pierre. The location of the hotel is ideal with all the sites within walking distance. We stayed in a deluxe twin room, this was a lovely spacious room that looked out into the front of the hotel. We had to choose a time for breakfast each day so that numbers in the breakfast room were inline with covid guidance. The fresh food was served rather than self service but staff were very attentive and always happy to help. Our room was serviced every day and the hotel in general was spotless. I cannot wait to return to Florence and would return to Hotel Pierre.

We chose the Hotel Pierre because it was within walking distance of the station and all the main sites eg Uffizi, Accademia, Pitti Palace, Santa Croce etc. It was also near many restaurants so we found it easy to find places for our evening meal. The breakfast is available on the fourth floor and is a substantial buffet of cereal, fruit, bread, cheese , cold meats etc. The waitress makes fresh cappucchino to order. There is a charge for cooked breakfast but it is not neccessary when there are so many other foods available. The reception staff were welcoming and very helpful - printing out our boarding passes and looking after our luggage on the final day. Our rooms were interconnecting which suited us as a party of ladies from the same family. Our rooms were comfortable and very quiet. We would definitely return to this hotel. Our only reservation was the lack of tea making facilities in the room.

Hotel Pierre is reviewed as a 4star hotel but in reality I will give it a 3 star. Room was very outdated especially the bathroom the shower was not cleaned and door shower broken and no joke I think it was never renovated since 1990 sink and shower nobs we’re the most outdated piece that I ever saw. Need major renovations. We always had to ask for toilette paper they would give us 1 roll at a time. Staff very polite and breakfast was ok. Location was good and near restaurants and retail stores.

This hotel generally ticks all the boxes -its location is ideal on a quiet street and within about a 10 minute walk of all principle sights including the Duomo , the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio .
The staff were all friendly & helpful especially
Lucia .
Our room was clean & quiet although with no view as it faced a wall as do a few interior rooms we
think .
Breakfast was good with lots of choice .
There was a small bar in the lobby but we don’t know if it is in use for guests but there are lots of bars & cafes all around the hotel .
If we had one negative comment it would be that the only English tv channel seemed to be CNN absolutely nothing else which had we stayed longer would not have been good .
All in all we liked the hotel & would return .

Our second time here since 8 years ago and without doubt, a must-stay venue for those coming for the first time. Hidden in a small alley, it is a few steps from Piazza Repubblica and a short 5 min walk to the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery. A small covered square behind the hotel is where artisans set up shop for the day with a whole range of leather goods/trinkets and casual attire. Slightly different from the street merchants around San Lorenzo (about 10 mins walk). Rooms here are super clean, with fresh towels/toiletries replenished daily and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, much like their sister hotel in Rome - Hotel delle Nazioni.

A very unpretentious front door but there’s quality and service within. The reception desk goes over and above in their efforts to help with directions, recommendations, and even helping my sister and cousin arrange a tour to a winery and olive oil company. The sleep quality is excellent and the breakfast buffet exceptional with fresh pastries, etc. The lobby has a cozy traditional seating area and bar in case you arrive exhausted. Location is convenient as you can reach most historical destinations within a 360 degree radius of the hotel. Very close to Piazza Repubblica and Duomo, not far from the Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace, and a short walk to Piazza della Signoria and Uffizi Galleries. The famous Florentine Porcellino is around the corner to the right as you exit the hotel. Lots of shopping nearby, such as Zara. Walkable 15 minutes from train station. Next door to hotel is a travel agent who can help plan side trips. They helped us book a day trip to Montecatini Spa. I went with extended family, and we all appreciated being able to go independently if we wanted because the location was so convenient.

From the universally friendly and helpful staff to the central but quieter location to the spacious and comfortable rooms there's everything to love about this hotel. I particularly appreciated that the air conditioner didn't cut out at night, the bed was amazingly comfortable on my bad back, and the bath amenities smelled really nice. There was a breakfast buffet with a nice variety to choose from too. I'm headed back to the area next year, and if I decide to include Florence this is definitely where I will stay.

We visited this lovely hotel in October, we stayed 4 nights, the location is perfect, the room is beautiful, with a lovely view and a huge bathroom.
Anna-Maria and Leonardo on reception are very attentive and friendly.
The room was very large and so quiet, you can see the market stalls that sell leather goods from the window, lots of lovely shops and restaurants just outside, and a 2 minute walk to beautiful Duomo.
You can hear the palace bells from the hotel room, such a wonderful sound.

Central location to all the popular tourist spots, and most of everything is very walkable from the hotel. The train station is about 30 minutes by foot for day trips to Pisa. All of the staff I've come across were friendly and very helpful with recommending businesses; even offering to call ahead to vouch for you as their guest for a discount.

There was a normal phone in the room but I was not aware of any complimentary mobile phones. We bought a plan through our cell phone vendor that would allow us to use it in Europe.
