The people from the hotel are very nice and their terrace is great, loved it ( you can stay over there all day long). The breakfast is actually pretty good in my opinion, only the building didn't impressed me that much.

Hotel is tiny but has a decent location- about 5-7 min walk away from Santa Maria Novella Train station. Staff were really lovely- as soon as we got in, they explained everything about breakfast, wifi etc. Wifi is available in rooms, which is really convenient- not just communal areas. Air-con is decent. Nice clean rooms, lovely bathroom. Only slight problem... More

We travelled through Italy with our 6 month old and stayed here during our visit to Florence. It met all expectations and the hosts were great. Florence has quite the night life and the location is near a very busy bar so if you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from the main street otherwise we really... More

The room we have received was much smaller than what we saw online, and with a very small window. We traveled in April and the weather was unusually cold and it rained non-stop. The room was very cold and the sheets and towels were always a little humid. However, what made the experience enjoyable was the wonderful attitude of the... More

My friend and I really liked staying here; the hotel has character. We felt comfortable and the location is good for walking to the wonderful galleries, museums and churches. The area is spacious and quiet for a good night's sleep.

It s very well located and ok if you have no other choice. But the hotel smells weird after cleaning as well as the towels. Breakfast is limited for those who don t eat sugar and ham in the morning. Every night there s a party right next to the hotel. Not practical for babies. Staff is nice...

Very good location, near the Santa Maria Novella train station and at a 20-minute walking distance to the city centre. The neighbourhood in itself is ugly and has nothing interesting around, but it felt safe. There are many supermarkets and grocery shops nearby. The worst thing about the hotel was service. They had chaotic woking hours, supposedly their working hours... More

This place gets two stars because of the friendly and helpful staff. Also, I did like the peachy color of all the walls. I do have some issues with this place, firstly, it's incredibly difficult to find. The street numbers don't go in order, and the building that it's in is not clearly marked. Secondly, I don't like cigarettes. I... More

hi, sorry, that we have not been happy. we respect his opinion, but we have to rectify the things she wrote. In the structure you can not smoke. And this prohibition is respected by customers. At breakfast there is always cheese and fresh fruit as many customers have reviewed. A place may or may not like, but you must write... More

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
