This used to be the most luxurious of the hotels. Since then JK Palace, the Four Seasons, the renovated St Regis all have surpassed in beauty BUT the Savoy remains great. The location on the Piazza is the best. Perhaps people may think noisy but the windows are soundproof. I had a room with balcony on square. The best room...

Fantastic location. I mean it's worth going just for where the hotel is located in the city. Staff is a bit snobbish and not extremely helpful, but the hotel is pleasant, rooms and bathrooms are in generous size and the hotel is kept very well. Breakfast is ok but not fantastic, though an afternoon iced tea or cocktail at the...

By my standards is is an expensive hotel ,, I'd normally look for something cheaper & more quirky. But the choice was dictated by a friend's 50th birthday celebration, and we couldn't have been happier. Our room was a reasonable size (Executive) and very well appointed, showing no sign of tiredness. REN toiletries are excellent. Staff - from cleaners, to...

My wife and I were recently at the Savoy in Florence and encountered several problems....getting a new key to replace a defective one, delay in getting bags and car and a poor meal. We wrote the corporate office and promptly heard from the manager in Florence. He seemed genuinely appreciative of our positive comments and truly concerned about our complaints....

If you travel to Florence this is just an amazing choice: right on Piazza della Repubblica, so you are basically just a few walking minutes away from every major sight in the city. But it is also wonderful to see that this hotel does not solely rely on the prime location - like many hotels around the world. The public...

We were in savoy a leading hotel , excellent service could not ask anything better than this. This guys really know how to take care of their guests truly appreciate the way we were treated, though they don't have extremely lavish spread for breakfast still they made us very comfortable after knowing that we were vegetarian.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Florence. We didnt have a reservation as we searched last minute online for a centrally located hotel and saw the location and drove up to the hotel to ask for a room. The moment you arrive you feel well taken care of as the porters and the reception staff are very welcoming and...

This is my favorite place to stay when I visit Firenze. Whether its people watching from my balcony on the top floor or sitting in the outside patio ....... this hotel has it all. First class service, food, & atmosphere! And one of the reasons why I always return back here!

Great location in the mid of all the shops and attractions. Classic mid size hotel with great services. Rooms are not cheap but consider its location, quality of the room and their services, worth the price tag. Had a very present stay there.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
