Like a typical upscale American hotel. No Italian charm what so ever, but nice rooftop. After coming from Varenna where no one spoke English, it's really shocking to be at a hotel where you would be the odd man out not speaking English in the roof top lounge. Good view of Duomo.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful from staff to rooms to rooftop bar and views. Its central to everything. Staff are so accommodating, we had a couple of early tours that we had to leave early for so we missed breakfast, so they packed us a packed breakfast for our trip. Very thoughtful and willing to go that bit extra so...

Stayed late April for 2 nights. Had beautiful Annette welcome us. Upgrade of room was give to us without asking. Service and accommodation nothing but 5 star. Do yourself a favour and head to the roof top it is amazing. Also big plus the air conditioner worked. May seem funny but a lot of hotels do not put on unless...

In addition to the fabulous service and overall cleanliness, the view of the Duomo from the rooftop bar is worth the stay. Location is ideal to experience Florence. I would recommend this in a heartbeat to everyone!

Room was reasonable, bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. Had what you could need if out and about during the day. The only downside was you never get enough milk for tea/ coffee left in room on the continent. Very close to lots of sights and museums.Duomo 2 min walk, Vecchio palace 2 mins walk, Accademia 8...

I can't recommend this hotel enough! It is absolutely fantastic with a central location. The roof terrace bar is not to be missed - fab drinks and cocktails with THE most amazing view of the Duomo and the rest of the Florence skyline too. The rooms are nice, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is great too with a wide selection...

Location amazing. Fascinating historical building. Staff cheerful friendly and fluent English speakers. Breakfast one of the best, I have eaten in Europe. Spotlessly clean, not always the case in "similar" hotels I have stayed in.I came back. Obviously,I was satisfied with it.D

We booked the Grand Hotel Cavour for 2 nights in April of 2017. This was a very different experience than other hotels that we have stayed in Italy. It was warm for April but the hotel claimed that the AC was not yet turned on for the season. The room we were given on the 6th floor was stifling hot...

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for sharing your opinion and fo the time dedicated to your comments. We are deeply sorry to understand your expectations have not been met. Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
