It is a very well located hotel but I couldn't sleep there. It is closed to all the museums but there was always weird men waiting or sleeping next to the outside door. I wouldn't recommend it to a single woman. I spent 2 nights and I was happy to leave. During the 2 nights people slammed the doors in...

Such a great place really close to the town center. Just 2 minutes of walking and you are at Piazza Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio and this is definitely priceless. The quality for the price is very high and the staff was very nice and helpful. In simple words, they made us feel at home. I do recommend this place and...

When considering accomodation for me and my partners travels, location was first on our list- we wanted central and walking distance to main points of interest. This b&b massively impressed us location wise! The b&b itself was beautiful, great big rooms and a shared bathroom which was maintained well. Nick was lovely giving us a lot of info on arrival...

Good place instead of a hostel I guess, lousy service (sorry my grandfather passed away, like I believe that one) very noisy room just over street where the homeless and dealers congregate ALL. NIGHT. Bathroom down hall inconvenient, tiny room, not so clean. Dirty, yellow, musty entrance with cob webs. Price was cheap but you could do better I'm sure.

This B&B is less than a 5 minute walk from Uffizi Gallery and other tourist destinations! Although convenient, it tends to be loud due to crowds and church bells, but this was just a small price and did not impact our overall experience. Nick was extremely friendly and helpful upon check in. He provided a map of Florence and highlighted...

B&B with maybe 20 capacity. Great overview of the city when we checked in. Great location. good price. Walls were thick which hindered the WIFI, but that's pretty normal in any older building. I'd stay here again as a couple, but might look for something more social if I were solo.

Pros: Rooms and decor are very nice. Price is very good. Full kitchen with fridge. Super central location. Right smack dab in the middle of tourist sites. Neutral: One night we had someone destroy the bathroom. Gross tub, gross wet and hairy floor. Can't fault the place for this really though. .. Internet was flaky for one day of 3...

Although it is extremely well located, and the rooms Are beautiful and the bathrooms are clean and nice, the entrance is SMELLY, it stinks!!!!! Really badly; there is never anyone to ask for directions or recommendations, I was cold and needed an extra blanket, but there wasnt anyone to ask for one. I think there should be better options for...

Really good little place to stay bang in the centre of Florence - our room at the front even had a Duomo view (albeit down an alley). It's more of a very nice hostel with private rooms than a B&B. There was rarely anyone actually at the property other than the other guests. But it didn't matter. The double room...

Probably, the noise is general problem of Florence, but it was very sufficient for us, who like the silent sleep. :) You can’t sleep with the open window, and even with the closed one you will be up on everything in the street :) In general the apartments have interesting, authentic interior and convenient location, you can feel the spirit...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
