This hotel is unbelievable. Classic Italian style with high end everything1 Within walking distance to everything! My husband and I stayed in the standard room - this room was anything beyond standard. The bed was quite possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The bathroom was unreal and it had a tv in the mirror! The mirror!!...

Hotel appearance and decor is beautifully classic old world Italian. Staff was wonderful. Our room was large and faced the Arno river. Pros: Bar/Restaurant is in a beautifully decorated 2 story room. The decor is just lovely - from the chandelier to the furniture to the must-see frescoed ceiling. We took part in the nightly champagne sabering and it was...

Dear twosquares, allow me to tell you that we really appreciate the honesty of your comment and we are very glad to know that you found our service terrific in spite of the unexpected charge of 1€ for Unicef. Actually, our Front Desk Agents must inform the guests upon the check in about the donation program and must ask the...

Had so much fun having champagne at the bar with the sommelier! We watched the champagne sabering which happens at 7pm each night. Best appertivo as they had oysters and so many lovely items. All for the price of one drink. Beautiful bar with a sitting area. Will definitely be back.

Hotel quality, location, environment & atmosphere are luxurious, comfortable, warm and friendly. If you enjoy quiet, romance--it is here; if you prefer a fun bar with jolly travelers, it is here. Quite simply a top notch 5 star stay from beginning to end.

The hotel and the location was lovely and the room was amazingly beautiful. This is the St Regis after all. Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
