For a City Break the location of the hotel is really important and you can't beat this hotel on that score. Virtually everything you want to cover in a 3 or 4 day visit is within easy walking distance. The hotel itself certainly lived up to our expectations and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Bedrooms tend to be...

This hotel is absolutely stunning and in a great location. The room was big, the bathroom was very big for European standards and the hotel staff was extremely helpful and nice. I really cannot say anything bad about this hotel. Thank you for a great vacation!

Having stayed here a few years ago and loved it, we decided to return to celebrate a special birthday. On the whole our stay was disappointing and not the standard we expect of a 5* hotel. We were greeted well and had champagne in our room, which was lovely. However, the room smelt overpoweringly of room spray, was only surface...

Is it not important to pick a hotel that suits the ambience of its environment? We think it is and on this basis The Bristol is hard to beat in 'Firenze'. Perfectly situated a smart stroll from The Duomo and Ponte Vechio the hotel exudes renaissance charm and authentic Italian class. If you are looking for 21st century cleansed perfection...

This 'historical' five star hotel is a really good place, close to most attractions in Florence and definitely one of the best staff I have ever seen. They were always ready to help us in any way possible, even for our day trips to Lucca, Siena and Pisa. The breakfest is great too and the whole hotel gives this feeling...

We picked this hotel because it is part of The Leading Hotels of the World and its location. The staff is very friendly and helpful-they are the best part of the hotel. Beds are comfortable and adorned with exquisite Italian linen. Its central location allowed us to walk to every pace we wanted to visit in the city.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
