I booked based on the reviews on this website and the hotel and staff did NOT disappoint. I had accidently booked a single room for myself and partner but Paolo went out of his way to help me out finding a double room for the first night and bringing in another single bed to the single room for the second....

Location of the hotel is very good. Short walk to the Duomo and only about 10 minutes to the train station. The inside of the hotel is so beautiful with the décor. The original paintings on the ceiling were amazing. Excellent staff who were very helpful and friendly. Only downside is that there are no elevators and even entering the...

It might be easy to miss the hotel given it's set back a bit, but once you find it, you should be greeted by a friendly staff. My check-in experience was great and it's awesome that people in Italy actually pronounce my name correctly (haha). I'm ashamed to admit that I once got lost trying to find my room after...

Stayed 4 nights here. This hotel is small hotel about 15 rooms all in the same floor (which is very nice). Located about 5 minutes from the duomo and other main attraction in Florence. About 10 from the train station. The hotel itself is just amazing. Inside looks like part of museum. With pictures and sculptures. Setting there in the...

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in early December and it was very pleasant, clean and affordable. The place is really well located on a main street a couple of blocks from the Duomo so you don't have the masses at your doorstep but it's very close to everything. The Academia Museum is literally a few...

We stayed at Hotel dei Macchiaoli for 3 nights on our honeymoon trek through Italy. The location was perfect. Walking distance from the train station, just a two block walk to the Duomo, a 5 minute stroll to the Galeria Academia and a 10 minute walk to the Uffizi. There were also several good restaurants in the area. Everyone who...

"Hotel dei Macchiaioli" is a great solution if you're visiting Florence, thanks to its central position. In fact, the hotel is in the centre of all main attractions: Duomo, Piazza della Repubblica, Palazzo Vecchio, Mercato Centrale etc. The hotel is also few minutes of walk away from Florence's train station. The hotel is located inside a Florentine historic building, and...

What a lovely spot. Easy walk from train station and near the Duomo but a much quieter street than many others. Just a block or so from Medici Palace and lots of good restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was cheerful and always helpful. The room was delightful with a sweet

A friend and I stayed just one night while visiting our daughters who were studying in Florence this fall. It was a wonderful hotel, clean, quiet yet just a couple of blocks from the Duomo. Our suite had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, very modern facilities, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was so helpful in helping us with...
