Il Pallegetto is a great place to stay in Florence. It is close to the main attractions of the old city but quiet and relaxed. Ruggero is a wonderful host going out of his way to make us welcome and help out with directions, suggestions and transport options. Our room was very clean and beautifully decorated in the old style... More

Thanks to TripAdvisor we stumbled across this place for our very first visit to Florence! The location is good for walking into the tourist-laden attraction area and a bus is easy to snag. But what really makes this place stand out is the SERVICE. All phone enquiries are pleasantly politely handled as is any request for more info or help;... More

We had a beautiful two night stay here in August. Such a great location, easy walking distance into the heart of Florence. The host was amazing and very understanding when our flight was slightly delayed and we arrived later than planned. He made us beautiful breakfasts, the home made jams were very nice. The room and bed was comfortable and... More

Prior to my arrival I probably asked 1000 questions to Tiziana and Ruggero by email that they so graciously answered. Their tips of where to eat and buy leather goods did well for me. The B and B itself is quite charming with a generous and yummy breakfast spread in the morning (with home made cakes and coffee plus the... More

We stayed here on our honeymoon and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay a little bit special. We were given the room with a four poster bed and a bottle of wine and heart shaped chocolates. The breakfasts were great - especially the scrambled eggs. A whole range of cakes and nibbles were on offer.... More

Our stay at Il Palagetto Guest House was wonderful. It was walking distance to the walled in Florence but close enough to enjoy the local cuisine and flare. Tizianna was a wonderful hostess and was very helpful by guiding us to a great local travel agency, called Accord Agency. Breakfast was always wonderful. She even cooked us scrambled eggs a... More

We really liked this place. It was cozy, clean, comfortable and the breakfast was great. We had a room right off of the breakfast room, so you walk out your room into the dining area, but it is a bed and breakfast so it's nothing too out of the ordinary. Good location. About a 15 min walk to the attractions.... More

We had such a great experience at Il Palagetto. Tiziana and Ruggero could not have been better hosts. We'd planned out our arrival time in advance - but ended up having some flight complications which they were very understanding on, and worked with us on. When we got there, the room was comfortable & very very clean - other guests... More

I know Florence well. For this solo trip, I sought an elegant atmosphere away from the historic center's noise and crowds but within their easy access. Il Palagetto provided even more! Tiziano and Ruggero went overboard to meet all my needs. They assisted with best routes to my destinations, and their list of recommended eateries is a jewel. The abundant... More

This guesthouse is on the outskirts of the Oltrarno area adjacent to some lovely hillside greenery. The accommodation was good and Rugero was always friendly and helpful in answering any questions that we had during our 6 night stay. Breakfast was especially nice with Rugero's wife making some delicious homemade cakes.

“I most certainly would stay at the Palagetto again, but this time I would get one of the rooms with a bathroom. This is the first time I have stayed somewhere without a bathroom in the room and for me it was inconvenient. For the clematis room, the bathroom is down the hall. A couple of the other rooms are closer.”
