Relais Accademia is a good value for money B & B. It´s very centrally located within a block of the accademia and two of the duomo, visible at the end of the street. It is only staffed onsite a few hours of the day, so be mindful of check in times. Breakfast comes in the form of a voucher to...

In bullet points: 1) LOCATION - Phenomenal. Step outside the hotel, turn your head to the right and the view at the end of the street, two minutes away is THE DUOMO! Two minutes in the...

We stayed for 3 nights in late September and received a very friendly welcome from Federico. He upgraded us to the larger room with a terrace and en-suite which was excellent (after checking out we did store our luggage in a smaller room which uses a bathroom along the hall - both were clean and of a high standard). A...

This great little hotel was fantastically situated on the Via Ricasoli which runs between the Galleria DellAccademia and the Duomo. Our room was clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and airy. However it was on the front of the building which meant noise until around 11.30pm and then silence. Next time we visit I will arrange a room at the rear, all of which...

We stayed here in early April and were very pleased with our choice. Despite being right in the middle of all the action, the room was very quiet and comfortable. We stayed in the larger suite with the attached terrace, which was great for relaxing after a day of sight-seeing. The room was spacious, clean, bright and well-appointed, in an...

This tiny hotel in the very heart of Florence offers excellent value for money. Your sightseeing tour beggins right after the door. The owner is very hospitable and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable.

This B&B offers a great location at a reasonable price. It’s literally just down the street from the Duomo which looms large as soon as you set foot out side the front door. It only takes ten minutes to stroll from the accommodation, past the Duomo, down to and through the Piazza Della Signoria, past the Uffizi to the Ponte...

I was pleased with my stay in this hotel. The room was spacious, it was clean and Frederico was friendly and helpful. Location is great as very close to the main square and no too far from the station. Breakfast was nice at the OK Cafe down the road and service was quick but it could have been a little...

Relais Accademia was a wonderful intimate place to stay in the heart of Florence. The manager was gracious and very helpful. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to see the sights of Florence or to catch a bus to Tuscanny. The room was nicely decorated and was very clean. The bathroom was great. It had recently been remodeled...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
