We reserved two superior rooms. One room was spacious and dark with a tiney bathroom and king size bed. The other was tiny with a small bed that was not big enough for two people to sleep in. We were told the rooms were on the 1st floor however there were 24 uneven stone steps to this B&B. The whole...

Bruno provides a clean, friendly, comfortable space that is centrally located to all important sights in Florence. He is very welcoming and accommodating and made our stay very special. My room and bath were large and airy. I would definitely stay at Badia Guest House again when visiting Florence!

I stayed at Bruno's guesthouse in June 2010 for 3 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was perfect for me, the location, the room and Bruno is a very congenial and knowledgeable host. Great to chat to him over breakfast, and he made sure everything about my stay was comfortable. Recommendations of places to see and how to get there,...

This is a Central Location but the entire floor smelled like Dog Feces. The bed was the hardest bed I ever slept on. My friend and I spent two nights here without getting much sleep. The Mattress was not only hard but slanted towards the floor. No bath soap or shampoo is provided. My Friend and I would not stay...

I would choose Bruno and the Badia Fiorentina AGAIN and AGAIN. Nothing short of stellar: meticulous service, authentic Italian charm, oozing with personality. The Badia Fiorentina was like a home away from home and Bruno was at the heart of it all: 1. Exceptional care and personal attention. 2. Service oriented: always ready and willing to help. 3. Big heart:...

The location of Badia Fiorentina is fantastic for exploring all that Florence has to offer. I was a step away from The National Museum of the Bargello, Piazza della Signoria and The Uffizi Gallery. Bruno and his beautiful daughter, Ricciarda, are very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Take advantage of Bruno’s expertise. He recommended I go to the museum of the...

Made the trip for me! Badia Guest House is centrally located - only a block from the famous Uffizi Gallery. Bathrooms are modern and the six rooms are attractive and well appointed. There's a shared guest refrigerator stocked with beverages, and perfect for storing leftovers! Night time is extremely quiet from street noise, and drapes block out the light for...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
