Perfectly located B&B - in a charming building in the heart of the old town of Florence, spacious and clean room. The best cappuccino and warm croissant served by Guido for breakfast :). The owners are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

My post will only certify again that everything is as fine as stated below :) - and add some details not mentioned before. For example, you'll find all necessary toiletries (including toothbrush and toothpaste) which is not that common for B&B places. There is a kettle and a variety of teabags in the room. If you need a fridge -...

Guido and Maria were very friendly and made for a comfortable stay. The location was fabulous for walks throughout the historic area of Florence. Restaurants, museums, and shops were within a 10-15minute walk. A thoroughly enjoyable and stress free vacation by staying in Al Duomo!

This is a small B+B with excellent personal service. The owner Guido served us breakfast every morning. With lots of lovely fresh coffee. You can virtually walk everywhere. They are also very helpful with restaurant suggestions. We had a large room, in fact the largest in our travels. The bathroom was small with only a shower but we had no...

Stayed at this B&B for 2 nights. 160€ per night includes breakfast, a bit pricey but the proprietors were friendly and the location was very good.

I stayed in the single room for 4 nights. The location was unbeatable, basically right next to the Duomo..about 10minutes walk to the train station, basically 10min walk to anywhere! I loved it. I always felt really safe! Guido and Maria were amazing hosts, especially after arriving from Venice where my previous hosts were not very welcoming. I read the...

Room was clean and comfortable, however bathroom was not satisfactory. Shower was very small, one could not bed to pick up shampoo, shower curtain stuck to ones body which made you feel unclean. Only way to shower was wet yourself down, hop out soap yourself and then back in and rinse off. Owner was friendly however was unable to converse...

Our large room at Al Duomo was comfortable for the brief family stay (four adults). Morning started with friendly exchanges with Guido serving breakfast. The location is geat as it is within the centre of Florence making it very accesible to important sites and good restaurants. Being in the centre however could mean that the night time sleep may be...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
