We were a family of 7 on a 25 day vacation in Italy and this was the best Hotel/Residenza we stayed in the entire vacation. Our group had young kids, Grandma, teenage kids and mom and dad and everyone loved it. We stayed in high end hotels that cost much more and there location and comfort did not match the...

We enjoyed the great location right in the middle of Florence, walking distance to all the important sights. The room was very clean and the staff were helpful. The building is very secure and the little kitchen was ideal for snacks and juices.

Clean, quiet, comfy, air-conditioned en-suite rooms in a perfect central location in the heart of Florence. Our bathroom window opened to a view of the Duomo. Free Wifi access was also a nice touch. Next door is a fantastic cafe/bakery/wine-bar, opposite is a gelateria, a few doors down a shop selling hand-marbled paper where they'll demonstrate the process for you...

We were pleasantly surprised by this little hotel right in the middle of the historic centre of Florence. Fantastic central location, in between the Duomo and the Arno! The hotel is boutique with a charming character, and airy and high ceilings of exposed timber beams, and only a few rooms so it felt very personal. The rooms are large and...

This B&B is in the Heart of Florence!!! Perfect location! Close to everything you would hope to see when visiting Florence! By far the most elegant B&B we encountered in Italy!! Would definitely stay here again and recommend this B&B to every one of all ages. A/C was WONDERFUL for the sweltering August heat, felt like you had your own...

Thanks for your good review but please do not compare this place to an hotel. Would you complain for no cooking service in a food shop or compare it to a restaurant? Certainly not , it would be inappropriate so i wonder why some guests need to complain about, or just underline, the missing hotel services when they know that...

On one of the main streets in Florence - with the Duomo at one end and the Uffizi museum at the other end - very lively. It could be a little noisy for some folks, but it was not a problem for us. The hotel does provide you with ear plugs if you need :) The room was neat and...

Being a female solo traveller, this is a perfect place and location. It is in the center of the city and walking distance from everything. Best Gelato place right across from the front door.. the lift is great as well and such easy access and check-in. it doesn't matter which way you head out (left or right) when leaving the...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
