We were so lucky to find this accommodation near the Palazzo Borghese, where we were attending a function, and only a short walk from the station. Spacious and comfortable rooms/suites and a friendly welcome from Stefan, who stayed late to welcome us. A few minutes' walk from the Piazza della Signoria and the Ponte Vecchio, and a very reasonable price....

Why do you stay in one place over another when your traveling, what do you look for? For me it has to be; a great staff, cleanliness, comfortable room, and HOSPITALITY. Stefano is a true gentleman any questions I asked, I felt as though I'm talking with my cousin. With a stay here the feel is of being a guest...

This place really gave us a better feeling of Florence than any hotel could've have. The rooms were spacious (our party had both a junior suite and an normal room but I didn't see much difference there) and decorated with local touch. The owner was very helpful, giving us tips where to go and he even was flexible enough to...

If you want something right in the heart of Florence this is the perfect location. From our room you could see Il Dormo. Staff welcoming and room lovely and comfortable. If you're on a short stay it's perfect.

We have just arrived back from after 4 nights for a special birthday treat and found the hotel in a fantastic location. Only a few minutes walk from the Cathedral and may many other places. There is such a lot to see we couldn't do it all in four days. Lots of lovely restaurants and bars all within easy reach....

We enjoyed our October 2016 stay at the Residenza Della Signoria and strongly recommend this hotel. Our room was quiet and comfortable and had a view over the rooftops to the Duomo. The location is absolutely perfect. It is in the center of everything, halfway between the Piazza di San Giovanni (the Duomo) and the Piazza della Signoiria. Directly across...

We stayed here on our 3 week tour of Italy. The room was beautiful with an amazing view of the Duomo. The cafe at the ground level serves delicious pastries that are included in the room stay. The staff is very friendly and happy to help answer any questions.

After spending a week in Tuscany, we arrived by bus from Paganico. From the bus station, we were able to wheel our bags from the station to the B&B. We checked in and met our host, Stephan. He immediately provided a map and offered suggestions for sights to see and places to eat. The B&B is older, but very spacious,...

The hotel is close to all major attractions in Florence. It is a tiny hotel with seven rooms, and all rooms are on the third floor. One person seems to run the hotel, and he was always helpful and that gave us many good advices on what to do in Florence. It was charming, in the center of Florence, not...

The keyword here is location. This lovely B&B is situated right middle in the action. That was for us the most important reason to choose this B&B. While it's very crowded outside you don't here anything inside because the walls are perfectly isolated. The interior blends nice with the Renaissance environment of firenze. Right across the B&B you'll find a...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
