Staying here was one of the highlights of our holiday in Tuscany. The view from the B&B is quite breathtaking as it has the most beautiful position in the hills. Our room was perfect - beautifully finished, and renovated with precision and thought- I loved the minimalist and peaceful feel of the decor. Each detail has been thought through, and...

We were attending a wedding in the Cortona area and originally had booked a room in the city where other guests would be staying. We decided to change our booking last-minute after reading about Locanda San Martino a Bocena - and are so glad we did! The view from the converted church is breathtaking and the property itself is so...

We stayed at Massimo and Sonia's B&B for one week and couldn't have had a better time. The converted chapel is tucked away in the rolling hills of Tuscany, and is the perfect place for a restful retreat. Our hosts were welcoming and warm, and included Pippo the friendly (and very well behaved) dog. The rooms themselves were very spacious...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in early July ’14 and loved it. It’s a steep little drive up the hill to the B&B, but it was more than worth it for the fantastic view of the countryside as well as the sense that you are really out in the authentic hills of Tuscany. The grounds of...

We were to have our wedding in Cortona and I have heard good things about the place, being South of Tuscany. But nothing prepared us for our B&B. It took our breath away. Our B&B used to be a 10th century church. It is rustic and quaint, made more comfortable by upgraded bathroom and heater that still beautifully stayed true...

We stayed at Massimo and Sonia's locanda for four nights and enjoyed every second of it. Together with our 4 parents we were able to get married in Cortona and the way we could use the locanda for preparations, dinner, relaxing and enjoying each others company was above our expectations. Sonia and Massimo our very down-to-earth people with a good...

My partner and I stayed at Sonia & Massimo's Locanda in August 2013 and loved every moment. We chose to stay in the converted church/chapel, which has been renovated and decorated with excellent taste. The view on the private balcony of the church was spectacular at any time of day, but to enjoy the sunset every evening was something beyond...

The perfect place to stay. I was looking for an experience, and not just a hotel ...and I found more than I could imagine. Flew into Roma and took train to Camucia (about a 2.5 hour ride) north into Tuscany. Rented a car and drove 10 min. to Locanda San Martino a Bocena. The windy road up hill brought us...

This is a great beautiful place to explore Tuscany! Massimo and Sonia are excellent hosts. The house they restored is not only beautiful but also has a great view and it is conveniently located to explore the Tuscan region. We travel with two kids and they had a terrific time. They enjoy watching "pippo" (the dog) and eating gelatto. We...
