I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Taormina. It's not the Ritz but it is clean and comfortable. The view from the large terrace would have to be one of the best in Taormina - it overlooks the sea and Mt Etna. Staff are welcoming and speak good English. They... More

Taormina is a Lovely place and hotel Elios was in a great place for the town. The town was very lively with an abundance of restaurants and shops. There are a lot of little alleyways to explore. The town was well served by bus services. There was also a cable car down to the beach or for the more energetic... More

We booked a room at Hotel Elios without doing a lot of research after another booking fell through and we were very pleased with it. It's in a great location, easily walkable to the pedestrian centre and the Greek amphitheatre but not as busy as the very centre of town. We were upgraded to a sea view room on the... More

I had read the reviews here before we went there and asked my agency to give me the accurate amount of the tax. I have a very good agency, btw. They called and called, send many emails and finally got the response from the hotel that the tax was approximately 50 eur. My agency told me they would give me back the... More

Hotel is very close to all restaurants, shops and the beautiful gardens. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a big bathroom. Staff were friendly and all went well here. Problems: 20€ a day for parking which we were not informed about. Extra 8€ for breakfast and 4€ tourist tax. Would have been ok if we had known of these extras... More

We were at the Elios for three nights at the end of September. We were very pleased with our upgraded room, balcony had a view of the sea and Mount Etna. Pleasant, helpful staff, good breakfast, central location and near bus station. Willing to provide an early breakfast when we went out early. Plenty of restaurants within a few minutes... More

Hotel was booked by our tour company, room was small but very clean, had a glimpse of the sea, comfortable bed, front desk both cheerful and helpful, breakfast was fine, and the rooftop terrace was a plus. Our experience is if your staying in Taormina your not going to spend a lot of time in your room, except for sleeping!... More

Hotel is relatively cheap comparing to the other places in Taormina. Other places were at least twice as much. Walking distance to the center was just ~5min away. I'd recommend to reserve place to park, parking is really tough in Taormina, but they didn't respect booking.com price (15€) and charged us 20€. We had air-con room with great view of... More

They charged the city tax 3 times more expensive , the price stated by the town of Taormina . We were informed by the agency that we had to pay 2 Euros per person at check in but instead the boy and lady , I think is the owner, we have to pay more than 6 euro for person !!... More

Booked a room at hotel Elios months ago. When we arrived we checked in and were escorted out the front door, up the street 200mtrs and around the corner to a dingy lane way and up a flight of stairs. Door opens to the smell of rising damp and a depressing room. 1 star at best. No phone, no TV,... More
