No fridge in the room, no Air Conditioning, ( they switch it off during the day), No decent shower, No tea/coffee making machine, No cooked breakfast, No toasting machine in the breakfast room. No sterilisation of the awful smell of cat's urine lingering around the bottom entrance. No happy smiling faces, except for the terrace bar.

We were here with a group of 30 tango dancers and they coped with the group very well. In fact the hotel was like the curate's egg - good in parts but not in others. First the good points: our room (303) was excellent. Very good size with a large balcony and plenty of cupboard and drawer space. Also a... More

For those fellow trip advisors who have not seen the tv series "Fawlty Towers", I apologise if you don't fully understand the title. The problem with this hotel appears to lay with staff working under an unreasonable hotel Director who has allowed the facilities and morale to run down. I overheard him having a full on argument with one of... More

Arrived late to be greeted by the most miserable hospitality person ever, nobody to help with the bags just a young man sitting behind the desk doing nothing but obviously not in a position to assist a group of elderly people with their luggage. Arrived at the room which was extremely basic and so hot we could not stay in... More

The hotel itself was clean. The staff was not very friendly. The hotel , while close to the main street, was up 55 steps from the street. The steps wreak of cat urine as there are many cats in the alley. The steps are not lit at night and you have to buzz in the back door to get in.... More

This is a hotel that I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. This a hotel from hell. If you want to be a prisoner of war in a sweat box and listen to flushing water from other toilets in the hotel stay in room 205. First you will not be able to sleep from all the noise and music outside... More

Staff unfriendly and in some cases very rude. My partner and I were squeezed into what was obviously a single room, the shower was horrendous, water everywhere, I complained several times and was told they did not understand me and then gave me more towels to mop up!! Breakfast was a joke, boring, bland, stale bread, if you were later... More

It is a great location and perfect for a holiday however, the management and staff need to attend a 'charm' school. They are all great at getting the room key for you but, that's about it and if you expect service with a smile then you're in for a long wait. The bar on the 5th floor is nice but,... More

The location of this hotel is great, quite central to everything. The room was clean and airy with great baclony and sea views. The air-con is unfathomable!! The reception staff are the most disinterested rude bunch of people I've ever met. The breakfast is tasteless... typically plastic cheese, meat, hard rolls etc. Loved Taormina but wouldn't stay here again..

Feel like a lot of the bad reviews here might be over fabricated or just really nit picky. Really nice hotel, was cleaned every day for our returning (above and beyond the usual house keeping). Reception staff were totally fine, we didnt speak to them a lot as we were too busy going out and enjoying the place, same with... More
