The hotel itself is beautiful but wow is EVERYTHING expensive. Internet = 9 euros a day, per device! For as much as the accommodations are, you would like to think that WiFi would be free. Drinks at the pool = 15 euros each! They are even more expensive in the lobby area at night.

It is almost typical for the Hotels in Italy.. Service always needs some improvement.. Very well kept ancient monestry... Perfect location.. Wonderful view of the city of Taormina.. All attractions are at walking distance.. One of the best choices in the town.. The Hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels but does fulfill the usual service standarts..

The hotel has great heritage and offers amazing views, but the management should wake up and try to live up to the expectations of nowadays travellers, especially when paying almost 700EUR/night for a suite. If it weren't for a couple of the staff members and the building, I would star it as an average hotel. It really is a shame...

Just left today after a three night stay. First of all, the location is perfect! We drove in a rented car from Catania airport ( that was an experience!). A very nice police officer lead us to the hotel upon arrival to the town. Our room was overlooking the gardens.. Beautiful! We did not eat in the hotel - there...

A converted monastery became a 5 star hotel. Very palatial yet still has a cozy feeling. The grounds are spectacular and the view of Mt.Etna and the Mediterranean Sea are breathtaking. ( all from a balcony while sipping wine). The breakfast is extensive and presented in a ballroom. You may sit inside or again enjoy the views from the terrace....

This property has other-wordly charm. It is like staying in a museum with magnificent art at every turn. Everything about it is on grand scale. The attentive service, the central location, the manicured gardens, the sumptuous breakfast --- all wonderful. We were graciously upgraded to a room with a breath-taking view of the sea, for which I will be ever-grateful....

This former monastery has been transformed into a five star hotel without losing any of the charm of the original building. The staff are wonderful, so helpful and well informed about restaurants, tours etc. The food is very good with one of t he restaurants having a Michelin star, the same chef oversees both restaurants in the hotel. The beauty...

We booked this trip rather last minute and I'm not sure this hotel would have been our top choice otherwise. We chose the hotel primarily due to its location. Starting with the positives, there is no doubt the hotel is in a fab location within the town centre and its cliff top position offers great views. The cocktails in the...

So close to the main drag, but the gardens and view over the sea are so stunning I didn't want to go anywhere else! Rooms are widely spaced but good sized and well maintained. Breakfast buffet the best I have ever seen, with prompt coffee service. Front desk staff uneven but Santi and Adriana can do anything (with a smile).

“Seats in the room and in the restaurant are very uncomfortable. Otherwise it is a very historic and well preserved property. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, especially Mount Etna erupting. Again chairs are very uncomfortable. Service is great. Also the maps of the town has to be more detailed.”
