Stayed here three nights as part of a tour. On the plus side: location. The Wagner is excellent in that regard. We were able to walk easily to all of the restaurants and sites within our range of interests. Moreover, the breakfasts each morning were above average. The food was fresh and varied, although there was no omelette station. On...

The hotel was very well maintained and immaculate. The furnishings were elegant and we were favorably impressed. The bar room was lovely, well stocked, and a quite beautiful antique. We met our friends there for cocktails and enjoyed the ambience of the room. The buffet breakfast was very authentic with lots of variety and was displayed beautifully. The service was...

This hotel is three minutes walk from Politeama Square. The hotel has spacious rooms. The Bathroom , with a shower cubicle is a bit small. The shower is adequate. The cleaning staff are generous with the toiletries, change Towels in the evening again, if we had a second shower and turn the beds in the evening, which not many five star Hotels...

I booked a superior double room at €250 per night. We were given a small room with hardly enough room to move. I asked when entering the room if this was the correct room and was told it was. After checking the hotel brochure and my booking confirmation I was sure it wasn't. The booking form said "with balcony" but...

When you walk thru the door and see the decor, the first impression is Wow. The room had the same affect but then you look closer. The bedroom walls needed a coat of paint thee where flecks of stuff on the wall panels. Could have been anything from blood to pop. The hallways like grand but the paint is chipping...

If we hadn't had better experiences with our accommodations later on our trip it would have been a problem but this hotel was the worst of 9 hotels we stayed in on Sicily and Calabria The good thing about it is the location and the small bar. The room was smallish and opened onto a shaft which tended to be...

We loved this hotel. We found the staff to be helpful, the deluxe room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom. The towels were plentiful, bathrobes and slippers provided. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a spread fit for royalty. Tables laden with everything you can think of. We walked to all the sites and restaurants. It was...

Palermo is a very noisy city, and this hotel is in the heart of the city. For ‘old school charm’ read ‘no double glazing’. Bring ear plugs as the noise runs throughout the night, we found the wax ones worked best. The Hotel is central to Palermo old town. It is 'Grand' in appearance both inside and out, but the...

This is a non five star five star. Formally it certainly meets all criteria but rooms are just too old fashioned and out of time to truly give you the feeling of luxury. Yet you got to admire the determination with which staff and director steam this 19th century grand hotel. And some of the Art Deco glassworks are just...

The central location is convenient for opera, shops and car hire returns. Very recently redecorated so ignore older reviews about tiredness. Our room was small but very comfortable, though air conditioning was not yet switched on. Our main gripe is its rating. Can't be a five star with no restaurant. New style is Empire (wall to wall Napoleon) - a...
