Villa Romeo Hotel, a hidden treasure, is delightful and convenient. Their internal courtyards are an oasis in this large city. There is a downside to the hotel, in that some rooms that face the street can be noisy, Internal rooms should be sought. Breakfast is excellent and the staff bend over backwards for guests. Plumbing system could be updated as...

My husband and I were traveling in Sicily with our four grown daughters and we stayed two nights at the Hotel Villa Romeo. We really did enjoy everything about our stay. Catania is not a posh city and some of the areas around the hotel are a bit gritty, but the inside of the hotel is a wonderful oasis. The...

I stayed in this hotel in July 2009 during my Honeymoon for 9 nights. The room was very clean and extremely nice. Not very big but so warm and rich, facing on a patio with benches, plants, perfect for a chat or drink a glass of wine like you were on your own balcony. The members of the stuff were...

Searching for a hotel for the night during the volcanic ash flight shutdown saga, we ended up at Catania railway station at the end of a hot and tiring day. We saw a hotel sign opposite the station just off a very busy street. The outside did not look promising at all and we were prepared to move on, but...

The hotel was great!! We only stayed in Catania for one night, at the end of our trip in Sicily, but it was a night well spent. The room was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located, only minutes walk from the city center and across the street from the central bus and...

Very easy walk across the road from the station we were welcomed by the vivacious Veronique in the quiet, clean reception. When booking we had been recommended to go for an inside "courtyard" room. This gave access on to a pleasant sitting area, away from the traffic and we could stroll across for breakfast. The room was comfortable, although lacking...

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel, December 22/23, 2009 and again December 30 2009/January 1, 2010, and I will always return with pleasure. I had a single, not too large but enough for my needs, with all amenities (mini-bar and safe deposit box included) and tastefully decorated, but the real surprise was that the room opened to a small...

We arrived in Catania tired with no reservations and confused about our surroundings, never having been to Catania. We wanted to find an inexpensive place to stay close to the train station, so we had convenient access to daily travel to other cities. We asked a clerk in the newspaper shop where he would recommend. He handed us a brochure...
