As part of a Rick Steves Sicily your this was our last night before departure to home US. The location was two blocks from main shopping area. Our tour bus had to drop us with our luggage as he could not maneuver closer. The place is elegant- Carrera marble steps welcome you- and it's not a stretch to imagine yourself... More

Stayed at the Liberty Hotel for a week in November. Beautiful hotel, very clean with helpful, friendly & polite staff. Rooms were quiet, spacious and well decorated. The hotel is only a ten minute walk into the town centre. Breakfast is available 7.30-10.30am albeit basic and bar service is also on hand.

Although Catania is a lovely city, there is no place in this city more charming than the Liberty Hotel. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean, supplied with all the amenities. Every room of this former palazzo was welcoming and available for visitors to read, enjoy a drink from the bar, or soak up the ambiance of this luxurious house.... More

We stayed here in November. The room was extremely clean and the service top notch. They helped us finding the best spots in Catania and surronding areas, adviced on the best ways to enjoy our stay suggesting Etna excursions, restaurants, museums and activities. The only thing you should be aware of is that the hotel has no restaurant so breakfast... More

I can't praise the lady on shift - Valentina - highly enough. Helpful and friendly, with good advice and a very sympathetic approach to my faltering Italian. Also patient enough to converse with me in Italian despite clearly speaking very good English. And our room was lovely, with one of the most comfortable beds I've been in in a hotel... More

Fantastic stay at the Liberty hotel. All of the staff, without exception, were so accommodating in ensuring we had a most enjoyable experience - not only in the hotel but also in Catania. It's a little away from the main strip but well worth the short walk - and there are very good restaurants, frequented by locals, nearby that will... More

Hotel is Art Nouveau style; stunning stained glass lamps and luxurious fabrics, wall and ceiling frescoes. Lots of comfortable seating; two TV's; spacious private outdoor patio. Large bathroom with lovely mosaics. Only other things I would have liked are a full length mirror and maybe a magnifying mirror. The bedside lamps were Tiffany style; their size and wattage were not... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We booked it based on the number of reviews and average rating on Trip Advisor. It was a fantastic choice. It was an excellent experience. The hotel is delightful. It has charm and class, and is tastefully decorated with an old world feel about it. So different from the modern decorating choices... More

Very nice hotel located at 3min walking distance from the heart of the city. The hotel ia very cozy and quiet, the atmosphere is old school as if you have traveled back in time within an old aristocratic italian villa. This is the hotel where we had the best sleep in East of Sicily. On the same note, the staff... More

Only stayed one night ,but the room was Clean, and very nice in the Old World Style. The bathroom was large and beautiful with French doors to the balcony that was also accessed from the bedroom. Location was excellent, short walk to the best spots in town and easy to find.
