In the older part town yet handy to all the tourist delights Hotel L'Archangelo is a wonderful place to stay An easy walk from the railway station, plenty of restaurants in the vicinity and being there in the old town makes this hotel the optimal place to stay. Wander through the narrow streets of the old town to the cathedral... More

I have just been in the most beautifully restored old building hotel. The Hotel L Arcangelo. The lady who owns and runs it is not only very attractive but speaks good English. It is close to the Yacht Marine. The rooms are beautiful and the hotel is situated in the old city of Taranto Italy. I would give top marks... More

We stayed in this hotel because it was close to the railway station. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk there, directly down the road with your back to the station. It is not a promising walk and as you cross the bridge to approach the more built up part you can see the hotel, which also looks rather... More

We had the chance to find a room in the upper middle class Arcangelo, and a special room indeed: the only one on the top floor with a private balcony yielding a view over the old town. This compensated for a rather small but comfortable room. We missed some things that we would expect in a room for two: a... More

Very comfortable staying thanks to the excellent hospitality of the staff and clean room. Position is perfect to the city visit and to some of the best restaurants. Breakfast would be perfect with more local products though fair and more than accettabile.

The hotel is right in the historic center of Taranto. The hotel is small, has very friendly staff, and the owner is a great person who knows a lot about the history of Taranto. I certainly come back to this place.

This fairly new hotel is a little gem, right near the harbour in the old city and just 400 metres from the station. The conversion from an old building is really tasteful and they have kept many of the original features like vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, while still managing to squeeze in an elevator. Most of the rooms seem... More

Only stayed for one night while touring round the toe, sole and heel of Italy. Arrived after 7pm and warmly greeted by the owner, shown room and had pizza ordered for us which was much appreciated as we had had a long day travelling! The double aspect room, the staff, and breakfast were all of a very high standard and would... More

This is a small hotel, run by 4 young people (and 2 cleaning ladies). I stayed one week and liked it a lot. The reception is friendly and personal, the hotel is very clean, the beds are good, the breakfast is OK for a small Italian hotel (some cheese & meat and you can ask for an egg ; lots... More

Arrived earlier than the advertised 2:00 P.M. check-in time. Room not ready; manager offered to keep our luggage while we went out to see the city. Returned at 3:30; room still not ready. An hour and a half and several promises of "ready soon" later, at 5:00 we discovered our bags were being kept in a public toilet. Gave up... More
