A COUNTRY VILLA A former villa dt. 1700, elegantly refurbished and beautifully re-decorated. Healing for the soul. The Agriturismo Relais San Michele is situated in the green 'Valley of Silence', a very romantic and charming oasis placed at the back of the Villa Capra, better known as the 'Villa La Rotonda' by Andrea Palladio, one of the most beautiful Veneto Villas, surrounded by the Gardens of the Berici Hills. Here, at the Relais San Michele we offer you seven spacious and bright Guest-rooms as well as a hot tub in the garden. The ideal place for a relaxing holiday, the San Michele is only a few miles from the historical centre of Vicenza and, even though it lies in the middle of nature it is a very convenient starting-point for all those places worth sight-seeing in the Veneto region where one can also try and taste all the typical dishes. OUR AGRISUITES We have called our Guest-rooms Agrisuites,(by mq.30 to 62 square meters) 3 of which are Junior suites and 4 are Suites, all elegantly furnished which offer all comforts like a 4-star Hotel, the only difference between a suite and a junior suite being just the dimensions of the room as well as the sight you can enjoy from it. Looking out of the windows, guests can enjoy breathless views over the gardens of the Rotonda as well as the Berici Hills, the Monte Berico's Sanctuary and the Villa Valmarana ai Nani (with frescoes by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo). The photographs correspond to reality There is no mass tourism It 's a niche for connoisseurs Vicenza is a gem! Venice is a half hour's drive from here Room is available with tea and coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave to prepare meals to eat in your room or in the garden. No pets allowed In our estate wild hares and pheasants, magpies, blackbirds, robins and many other species of birds Walk Villa Rotonda Arch. We stayed there with the family and small children for 4 nights. The location is perfect, close to the city center but in the nature, very quiet. Breakfast is great, in the summer must be awesome to take it in the beautiful garden. Plenty of space for children to play outside. The rooms are big a spotless. Super friendly hosts. A car is however needed to explore the area.

It's got everything, beautiful location, impeccable facilities, great place to stay while visiting Vicenza, which is a must see. We got upgraded to a suite. The place has been renovated keeping it's old charm with wood beamed ceilings, fireplace, olive groves and grape vines... But all the modern amenities are there; good WiFi, beautiful bathroom, mini fridge and microwave. They even have a jaccuzi in the garden! It works as a romantic getaway or family vacation. I didn't want to leave...

The Agriturismo San Michele is perfectly located in the countryside, 2 to 3 km away from the city center of Vicenza and at walking distance from the famous two Andrea Palladio villas "La Rotonda" and "Villa Valmorana Ai Nani". The B&B has 9 (!) rooms. Ours was a suite on the first floor with a nice balcony offering a view on the garden and the fields behind the B&B. The room was very large, decorated with taste; with a comfi bed; excellent, powerful airco; fridge; microwave oven; device to cook water; two large cupboards to store your clothes, which is very welcome when you're on a two week tour in the North of Italy. Excellent bathroom, well-equipped, great shower and beautifully decorated with ground and wall tiles. Breakfast is more than OK. Splendid croissants, cereals, fresh orange juice and good cappuccini. The B&B offers a large garden ( incl. an outdoor jaccuzzi) and has plenty of (secured) parking space. It has everything to be a great B&B, but doesn't entirely live up to the statement the owners make in the welcome brochure, in which they claim to be comparable to a "four star" hotel offering: - there is no wifi in the room, which is pretty painful for a contemporary B&B offering. Yes, you get an ethernet cable for the internet connection in your room, but this sounds so 'nillies' nowadays and complete useless for ftablet or smartphone use. Yes, there's wifi in (and just outside) the breakfast room, but that means you need to go down to this area when you want to check your e-mail or other internet stuff. The breakfast room was closed late afternoon or in the evening, which means you have to work outside which is really not pleasant when it's raining (half covered under a sunbeam) or under attack from mosquitos on a sunny evening. Get this thing sorted out! A couple of (non-expensive) wifi amplifiers and the thing is solved. - the breakfast room is rather small. As a couple we were put in the corner on a tiny table. I wonder what would happen if guests from nine rooms would show up more or less at the same time. - I especially felt the absence of a welcoming, warm and caring atmosphere from the owners, which I believe are an essential component of the B&B/agriturismo concept. We did get all the necessary info, including great suggestions for restaurants (a simple list on a paper), but no interesting conversations with the lady of the house. Language cannot be an issue, we both speak Italian. She only talked to you when she was spoken to. Briefly, this B&B has everything to be a superb stay for your holiday, but unfortunately misses the opportunity to really stand out with excellence due to a number of things, which is a pitty. Conclusion: very good B&B, but should aim even higher.

This is an agreable B&B in an century building in the countryside near Vicenza. We stayed here for three nights with our two children (7&5). We had a junior agrisuite on the first floor (N°1). Very spacious, big bathroom, with two separate toilets and a shower. Children slept on sofabeds in an area which could be separated from our bedroom space with a curtain. Coffee&tea making facilities and a fridge with 4 1/2 litre botles of water (free). Unfortunately no Wifi. Very decent breakfast, with freshly made coffee/espresso/cappucinon, and oranges ready to be pressed. Very large garden bordered by an olive field. Situated on the outskirts of Vicenza, in the fields, beneath the hills. Bucolic atmosphere very close to the city of Vicenza. Very close to the famous villas of Palladio, the Villa Rotonda and the Villa Valmarana (ai Nani). A very good base to explore Vicenza and its surroundings, with a pleasant tranquil homecoming after the visits.

For those who want to visit the beautiful city of Vicenza I can highly recommend this B&B. It is only a 5-minute drive from the city centre, but it still feels like you are somewhere in the countryside. It is at the end od a dead-end street; great views all around! The rooms are very comfortable and they serve a great breakfast. Sitting at the back of the B&B enjoying the view and the Italian sun is a very relaxing experience!

Perfect location for those who want to follow the Palladiam trail of villas, bridges, etc. Villa La Rotunda and Villa Valmarana are within walking distance. Center city is very close and has amazing sites. Don't miss the Teatro Olympio Beyond the gate to the B&B you find a natural lanscscape with olives trees and grape vines. Saw some amazingly large rabbits grazing in the clover under the olive trees. We relaxed each morning at the tables in the garden and planned our outings and had wine in the evenings. Our junior suite was spacious and comfortable with mini fridge and coffee pot. Breakfast was "italian style with wonderful meats cheese, cereal , yogurt, breads etc. No pool but a hot tub that we used one night. The owners were friendly and very helpful.

This is the perfect location for anyon who enjoys being within walking distance of restaurants and attractions while at the same time feeling like they're out in the countryside. Located within a neighborhood, from the front the building is nondescript, but once inside the electric gate it feels far from urban life. Within a very short walking distance are two of Palladio's villas that are both open for touring. Villa la Rotonda is a half mile away and while the grounds are open limited hours Tuesday through Sunday, the building is only open on Wednesdays. Villa Valmarana ai Nani is about a half mile farther. This villa is open longer hours but they are still irregular. The B&B was very helpful in sorting out the particulars. We booked our room last minute. We were on the road from Florence and called on the way. We couldn't have been received more graciously. The room was huge and equipped with all the conveniences. Breakfast was delicious, Italian style. We got incredible help in planning our day trip to Vicenza as well as our villa touring. The staff has achieved the perfect balance of helpful/friendly and private.

Recommended in any season. Pleasant garden, with view to 100% nature landscape. Located at walking distance from two excellent Villas by Palladio. You actually can walk to the center of Vicenza, along a quiet secondary road. The garden is beautiful and well extended. All rooms I have seen are very pleasant; nice marble in the bathrooms. Definitely a pretty 3 stars hotel, with some reasons to get 4 stars rating -despite it is placed on the market as "Agriturismo".
