The villa and grounds are heaven on earth. This is a family run vineyard and bed and breakfast 15 mins outside Verona city. The rooms are gorgeous, the grounds, vineyard and pool are stunning and the breakfasts were the best we'd had in Italy. Our hostess Chiarestella would bake cakes and bread in the very early morning and then serve...

We spent 6 days in this beautiful house. The family was charming and incredibly helpful and very patient in answering all our questions about the history of the family and the place. Breakfast was delicious always with freshly baked savoury and sweet tarts/cakes. Really nothing was too much. Taxis, restaurants and wine tasting bookings were all done for us. Not...

This place is very special.A wonderful ,warm family welcome ,where nothing is too much trouble! Fabulous rooms in spectacular country house only 10 minutes from the centre of Verona and 30 minutes from Lake Garda. We were treated to delicious Pinot Grigio from the family easter as a welcome drink. Glorious swimming pool in quiet setting. Real value here!

Travelled with my son and friend to Verona and chose to stay in this fantastic villa. The owner ChiaraStella and her son were just sooooo helpful and kind. The place is beautiful, the outside/pool area was breathtaking and the breakfast was incredible. It was the ideal place for our stay in Verona at a great price. LOVED it and would...

Traveling a lot and having seen many places in the world, this is one of the very special ones, not only the magic location, the wonderful architecture, a historical villa in an amazing garden..., but it is also the host and the lovely staff, who make you feel at home... all very relaxed and easy-going. The day starts with a...

Staying in the villa was the highlight in my trip to Italy. My only regret was that we only stayed two nights. The owner and her son were delightful. They made excellent food recommendations for both lunch and dinner meals near the villa and in downtown Verona. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were equipped with portable air conditioning...

The moment we arrived at Villa Sagramoso we felt like we had come home. Being passionate travelors we would not say this lightly. We usually look for the extraordinary in weekend getaways. Villa Sagramoso exceeds everything we have found so far. Besides the magnificent building itself (it feels like the family has lived here for centuries) this is mainly due...

We stayed at the Villa over Easter long weekend with family and friends and had an absolutely wonderful time. The villa is perfectly located to vineyards, the lake and Verona, just a short trip out of the peaceful hills and you are in amongst everything. The service was wonderful and the staff that took care of us were very helpful...

A big old grand house that could use some attention. We stayed in the main building and didn't see any of the nearby building that has several of the rooms. Our room was reached by climbing a narrow spiral stair. It was a good size, as was the bathroom, but not well planned and short on places to set things...

The main building looks wonderful, surrounded by olive gardens. But the appartment self is located in another but building with a little natural light and needs a maintenance. Shower head is leaking and the light in the bathroom was not working. Curtains everywhere except in the bathroom! Doesn't feel that great when taking a shower. We only had 2 towels...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This elegant, monumental, fifteenth century building stands on the flood plains on the right bank of the Adige River in a landscape full of historical importance only 8 km from the centre of Verona. From this dominant position there is a panoramic view of Valpolicella and the heights of the western area of Lessinia.Chiarastella and Ludovica Sagramoso Sacchetti have decided to bring back to life, their ancient Venetian villa, family home and focal point of their agricultural activity so that the atmosphere, traditions and flavours of the land and its past can be rediscovered and the historical heritage of our country can be appreciated. The harmonious colours of the drapery and upholstery in the suites, the classical interiors, the careful attention to detail even in the choice of bed linen, makes each room unique. The Villa is characterized by the warm, exclusive atmosphere of a private home. This care and attention can also be found in the rich breakfast served according to the season and the weather in the dining room or in the garden. Our villa is the ideal starting point to discover our beautiful land and to get to know the culture, the traditions and attractions of some of the most beautiful Italian cities. We are close to Verona, Mantova, Vicenza, Padua, Treviso, Venice, Ferrara and only 13 kms away from the well known Lake of Garda. Each corner of this wonderful area has churches, monuments, stately homes and museums to be discovered and of course a wine and food tradition with a particularly rich variety of specialities to enjoy. ... more   less
