Our apartment was on the ground floor overlooking the Giudecca Canal with a wonderful outlook to Venice. Lovely to see all the boats - Venetian life! The apartment was perfect - large bed, comfortable armchairs, dining table and well equipped kitchen and bathroom. I don't think there was anything that we felt was missing - there were even slippers! We...

I can't fault these apartments from the location, the proximity to the main island to the service etc our whole stay was fantastic. The Guidecca island has a great vibe to eat and we found a wonderful Trattoria in Calle de le Erbe, the food was amazing and the courtyard looking over the canal was idyllic. I would thoroughly recommend...

What a great location. What a great building. What a friendly company. There is a free water bus that takes you straight to the center of Venice every 30 minutes. The apartments are very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We would go back here should we ever return to Venice. Very happy that the other hotel...

We are so pleased with this place for many reasons. You enjoy many of the benefits of being next to a Hilton, whilst having your own apartment in Venice. It was so quiet in the evenings and mornings and then you just take the free water taxi to the main island and see whatever you would like. No problems with...

Fabulous apartment, plenty of space, nice views, clean, good selection of food for breakfast, fresh milk even. Absolutely loved this quiet retreat away from the madness of Venice, the restaurants on Giudecca are good and cheaper, there is everything you need here & the free shuttle to Venice is great.

We spent 3 nights here, and what a good choice we made. After a busy day walking around Venice it was always so nice to come back to our cool quiet room, for a snooze before going back for the evening. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy and quick the free transfers were from the Hilton next door. They...

This is a really beautiful apartment hotel where all your needs have been carefully thought about and provided for in style. From the confirmation emails and gracious warm welcome by Luca and throughout our 3 night stay it was clear this is a professional setup. Being located next door to the Hilton Stucky the free shuttle is available or it...

Just come back from staying at the Residenza Grandi Vedute , loved it. The view from our apartment was amazing. We were on the ground floor in the Burico, and we could see Venice across the river. O. We chose to stay at Residenza Grandi Vedute based on user reviews. We were very pleased with the choice! The apartment was spacious, the kitchen well stocked for our breakfast needs and fresh fruit was also provided. The two bedroom apartment was very clean and the daily service kept it so. We received a confirmation email from Giovanna prior to...

We were in Venice two years ago and we stayed in the hotel next door, which was very nice (you can check out my review http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g187870-d613798-r129873225-Hilton_Molino_Stucky_Venice_Hotel-Venice_Veneto.htm), but almost twice the price of Residenza Grandi Vedute. So for our return leisure only trip, as we enjoyed being on Giudeca, we chose to stay here, in the Mascareta one-bedroom apartment. The apartment...

Staying in Giudecca

Neighbourhood Profile
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our luxury apartments decorated in a 17th century Venetian Style with all the modern comforts are located on the top floors of the right wing of the Molino Stucky, a late 19th century art nouveau grain mill on the Giudecca Island in Venice. Six of our apartments overlook Venice. Each of them with a unique view of the Serenissima. Their size varies from 45 to 90 square meters with high wooden ceilings, big queen size beds, spacious living rooms and bathrooms in Verona marble. We are only 10 minutes by boat from Saint Marks Square and 5 minutes from the Grand Canal. After a long and complex restoration finished in 2003, the Molino Stucky is one of the finest and most comfortable buildings in the city. We assure you that our luxury apartments and the peaceful Island of the Giudecca are the way of enjoying a relaxing holiday in Venice. This Island, just across from Saint Marks Square, has always been one of the favorite summer places of the noble Venetian families who built beautiful villas surrounded by lovely gardens and orchards, as well as churches, monasteries and convents. Some are still standing and others like the monastery of San Biagio became the Molino Stucky. ... more   less
