The hotel is near the train station, but tucked in the back of a small street. Just 5 min walk from the train station, but surprisingly quiet. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We had a room on the top floor, the room is not big but clean and beautifully done. Would definitely return again!

We stayed here with our toddler in March because it was reasonably priced and well located for the train station in one of our favourite districts, Cannaregio. It was easy to find, and remote check-in was easy. The room was light and spacious (if a little warm-despite having the air-con on max) and facilities were perfectly adequate. Breakfast was fresh...

we deliberately selected a hotel close to the station to make it easier to get around Venice. this was a good decision as the hotel is a short walk from piazalle Roma where the bus transfer from the airport dropped us on arrival. the hotel is situated on an alley walk through which proved to be quite noisy at night...

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Given that Venice is very expensive and sleeping here can cost you a pretty penny, the price of this hotel is too high compared to the quality of our stay. It is very close to the train station and therefore very convenient. The stations for the public transport that...

The hotel is perfectly located and very accessible from the train station. You might almost even miss the street because it's that close to the station!! Room was quiet and clean! The shower could have been better but otherwise was a great room. Keep in mind there is no elevator so maybe ask for a room on the 1st floor...

Great location, simple but yummy breakfast, free Wifi. Small but cute hotel, perfect for resting your bones between adventures through Venice. Even though the staff isn't 24 hours, when we arrived late, all we had to do was ring the buzzer, state our names and were buzzed in to find our room key on the front desk. We liked that...

The location of this hotel is fantastic, just a bit past the main bridge after leaving the train station. My husband I spent a few days here on our honeymoon, and it was lovely. The only downside was our room was on the top floor, and there was no elevator. For some this might be an issue, but we were...

Easy to access from Santa Lucia train station. Very simple hotel, but clean, good shower and nice staff. Rooms are on the 2nd floor with not elevator and not adapted stairs, so I would not recommend for people with movement disabilities.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
