Really enjoyed our recent trip to Venice and stay at Corte 1321. It is a lovely little place, very well located and very pretty. The room was excellently equipped with all we needed, the lady who looked after us was really friendly, and breakfast was magnificent. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed for two nights in October 2016 as part of a touring holiday (Rome and Florence included). Vanessa contacted us the day prior to arrival to ensure we were okay with transport and directions. On arrival we were welcomed with wine and lots of local information. We had room number two, which was very quiet at night and overlooked...

I would surely recommend the place. Good location , staff very nice, and Amelia booked us a little restaurant near the b&b for our wedding aniversary. Only inconvenient ,the hall is too small and in the morning you can hear noise from kitchen and from other people leaving their rooms, not good if you went to bed late. Also we...

Our family of 4 stayed for 3 nights in the small apartment on the ground floor. It was well-appointed and very clean, with large, comfortable beds and nice linens. The room opens onto a pretty little courtyard which would be lovely for breakfast during warmer months. It was too cold for breakfast outside during our visit, but Vanessa took such...

This bed and breakfast is tidy, cute, tranquil, very well maintained with an outstanding hos/st. Even before arriving our needs were being looked after. Phone calls to ensure we were comfortable with the directions and any needs addressed. Vanessa and Subhash were really engaging and made us feel welcome from the start. No worries about which water bus, Subhash was...

Lovely, small b&b in the heart of Venice just 2 minutes walk from the nearest water bus stop and a few minutes from the Rialto bridge. The directions and very helpful photos on their website made it easy to find and the self-check-in went smoothly as we arrived late afternoon. Vanessa and her staff were very warm, welcoming and helpful....

This property is perfectly located, a little hidden gem. Vanessa is the ultimate host who cannot do enough to help. Her humour and local knowledge are a bonus. We stayed in family room that opens onto the courtyard, it was just what we were after. Thanks Vanessa, see u again!!

This place is exactly what we needed. Yes, the rooms have low ceilings, and, yes, the room itself is compact but if you have any sense, look around: Venice is a city of compact living! I was a little worried because we had to check in before 1600 but a quick phone call to the very friendly owner put my...

Charming & quiet place, well situated. Very friendly & helpful host. Small but beautiful room (Superior) with view on the inner court. Sole unsatisfaction is the double bed, noisy due to a new wooden frame (this should be fixed by a carpenter), and composed of 2 mattresses. Large & convenient bathroom, fully equipped. Delicious breakfast, served in the patio, adapted...

Thank you for your review. Yes all of our beds are handmade in wood and sometimes have to be adjusted. We'll get on that immediately. Also thank you for mentioning that we adapt your breakfast on request! Kind regards, Vanessa

Corte 1321 is located close to the Renaldo bridge so it was easy to get to. Amelias' directions were perfect. Our room over looked both a canal where we could lean out the window and take many pics and the courtyard where breakfast was served. It was quite pleasant to sit out in the evening and enjoy a beer of...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
