Hello, I stayed here while I was in Venice with family for a long weekend. Would definitely stay here the next time I am in Venice as it was a great location and the room for 3 persons was hugh. Davide (one of the owners) was very helpful with recommendations for places to eat - which were divine.

Great place, great people. Totally recommend it. Pros: Good location. The hotel is in San Marco, close (a few minutes walk) to Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. In fact, it’s pretty much close to everything, the location is great if you want to visit the entire city. You can easily access Casa Cosmo by taking a boat from Marco...

We stayed here for a few nights. It's very close to Rialto bridge, and although we got lost at first, we eventually found our way to San Marco square, only a ten minute walk. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming and let us keep our luggage at the hotel when we checked out. They also gave us a...

We stayed here 3 nights & loved the central location. David & Katarina were very friendly & helpful. Wifi was very good and bathroom shower great for a small European hotel. Easy to find---as you exit the Rialto bridge water taxi turn right. Make a left at the first street you come to & walk about the equivalent of 3...

Casa Cosmo has a perfect location: centrally located, between the Rialto and the Piazza San Marco. The vaparetto stop Rialto is just a couple of blocks away. Located on a small side street. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of hot water in the bath. The stafv is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Casa Cosmo, and...

This hotel was so charming and was a wonderful place at a good price for our family. Davide was welcoming and kind--coming out in a rainstorm to guide us to the hotel. He gave us great advice regarding restaurants and places to see. The room was clean and comfortable--one morning, we accidentally slept in until 11:00 a.m. (oops, jetlag!) because...

We were very happy to find this charming place to stay during our visit to Venice. Our room was comfortable and just what was promised. The place is a small one only a few rooms and maintained by a family. The family members hosting and serving us were very polite and they gave valuable advice when we were planning our...

This charming guest house is perfect if you want to experience the real Venice. It's located down one of the small winding streets you find in Venice, situated between Ponte di Rialto and Piazza San Marco; I would say a 5 minute walk from each landmark. You are very much based in the heart of Venice. Casa Cosmo is really...

Fab location very close to San Marco and Rialto. Per Rialto is the stop you need when coming from the airport and it's a short walk and helpfully only one set of steps over a bridge to navigate to get there (if you take the same boat we did). We arrived late but the owners have a way of opening...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
