My husband and I have just had 2 nights here and having previously read some negative reviews I was a little concerned. How silly of me. This place is lovely. Yes, a little hard to find (but what a great adventure!) Use google maps when...More
We stayed at this hotel for two nights at the end of September. Location is good, between the Grand Canal and St. Mark's Square. The hotel is difficult to find, down several narrow alleyways, even with detailed directions that were sent to us. Our room...More

thank you for your review.
We don't want to object your personal opinion about the staff or the room itself, since simpathy and tastes are objective matters, even if we regret to know you didn't appreciate some of those aspects of your stay....More

Dear Jane H,
thank you for your comment.

Great base for exploring Venice , close to Grand Canal and St Marks Square, rooms and breakfast fine for the price. Little difficult to find but probably could say that about a lot of Venice hotels, would stay again
This is a decent hotel, close to Rialto (in fact, the location is a definite positive for this place).
The hotel itself is quaint, clean and small.
The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Our was a double room and had two terraces, which were...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
