It's a hidden B&B in Venice with a bit of history as it was occupied by some ambassador in the past and now is completely restored and renovated. You'll be greeted by a nice scent upon entering. The entire place is air conditioned. The rooms...More
Pro: Location. Staff are nice and helped us arranged for airport transportation. Very good wifi signal, probably because our room is very close to the router. Breakfast was good.
Con: The rooms are NOT as nice as what they appear on the website. Do not...More
We were disappointed with the service - no internet at all - but promised to be there and they were not concerned about it al all. It was one of our decision making points, as we use it to look up where to eat, history...More
Do not book this hotel. We found that the manager was very slow to respond to problems with our stay making it then impossible to resolve. Then showed a complete lack of understanding when finally trying to deal with them. A complete waste of money!

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
