The location is really great. Unfortunately, it's a hostel and not a nice one at that. It was highly rated but didn't live up to expectations. Plus, the price was shocking given the shared bathroom and lack of amenities. Venice is expensive but we found...More

We are very disappointed to read this review. We must tell you, but above all to all our future Guests, that Casa Sant'Andrea is a "Guest House", not a hostel like you think.
Some rooms do not have the private bathroom, so they...More
Venice is very difficult, trying to find somewhere to stay that is reasonable and easy to get to is not easy. Casa Sant'Andrea fits both of those requirements. Spotlessly clean with helpful staff and a "vaporetto" stop 20 feet from the front door this place...More
We stayed at Casa on the 17th October for 2 nights. The location of this hotel is very good because its 5/10 minutes walk to either the train station or the water~buses. The hotel itself is very clean and dust free apart from a couple of squashed...More
Our stay in this hotel was part of a package trip. I'm not sure of the price per night but, whatever it is, it is NOT worth it. My mother is in a wheelchair so, we stayed in room 110 which is the handicap room....More

Our sincere apologize for the urine smell that you found in your room. Our staff clean every room every day, but obviously there is an issue on the WC and of course we will try to fix it. Anyway we would appreciate if...More
The location of this hotel is almost perfect. You are only about 500m away from the Santa Lucia railway station and have only one (large) bridge to cross. It is almost next door to the People Mover which connects the cruise boat terminal and the...More

Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
Hi I feel this is not a ‘honeymoon’ hotel I felt it was quite basic but it is very handy to public transport and I could see the cruise ship from our bedroom window so this is very close. It is also clean and staff friendly.

It's Venezia San Lucia station. It's literally 3minutes walk from Casa Santandrea. Venice doesn't have any on road taxis ; they have water taxis, which you don't need for casa santandrea. Even if you have luggage it wouldn't be a problem as you would cross only one bridge by foot. If you have lot of luggage to carry then you can hire porters. But again it's a waste of money as the accommodation is very close to station. Hope it answers your queries. Have a nice time in Venice.
