Visited for one night's B&B. Very close to the ferry stop at Zattare where we took the ferry from Fusina on the mainland. Slightly difficult to find as you have to go along the canal side and then turn right along a narrow road. Look out for other people with suitcases - good indication. The lift to the third floor and reception is slow but fortunately there is a lift. Preferible if one of you pushes the lift button as, in our case, other half read the wrong button. Reception gentleman D. most helpful especially at a busy check-in time. He also helped us out with a bottle opener which one us had left behind, and offered proper wine glasses although we had brought plastic wine glasses. "Tastes better" and he was correct. The reception covers two locations, here and another back along by the canal some 100 meters or so. We had the attic room with private terrace which was excellent, so much so we've booked again for next year as we live in next Region and are returning for a short cruise from the nearby cruise terminal at San Basilio. Room peaceful and spacious, terrace lovely, bed very comfortable and the proper curtains ensure darkness and no light disturbance. Bathroom very nice with spa bath. Easy entry and exit from same, unlike another bath we have used in another Veneziano hotel, so well done to the management for their attention to all the fittings. Complimentary proper fridge/mini bar with bottled waters, beers, soft drinks and good fruit juice. Proper sized tv of good quality should you wish to follow 'Amadeus'. Breakfast was tasty, we had good scrambled eggs, toast and proper crispy bacon. All the usual choices of ham, cheese, croissants, yogurts, juices etc are available. Breakfast service lady very helpful and courteous bringing us our choice of coffee. The rooms off the dining hall could be problematic for guests who don't wish to be disturbed with the breakfast service. The lady V. proprietor in the morning was most helpful in the morning especially as there was a lot going on with breakfasts and departures. The baggage storage was most helpful as we had places to go, and lunch, before travelling home to Fusina and our next door Region. Definitely recommend this establishment, especially the spacious attic suite with private terrace, and looking forward to our return next year.

The hotel is just 10 minutes on foot from San Marco and 20 minutes walk from Piazzale Roma, and a couple of minutes to Ponte deli'Accademia over Grand Canal. The main entrance is from narrow Calle de Pistor, using GPS very advisable. Junior Suit with a terrace is big especially when talking about Venice, even the bathroom is big. The great view is open from the large terrace. The staff are great and helpful. One small not positive thing is the breakfast - very basic but cappuccino, latte or espresso can be ordered, just ask a waiter. Good place to stay.

I prefer to stay Dorsoduro neighbourhood in Venice for it is relatively quiet but also you can find very good restaurants , cafés, supermarkets, etc. Palazzo Guardi is an elegant, very central located B&B . Ferries are only 3-5 minutes away. The building has it's charisma, the rooms are airy, comfortable and clean. They have a 24/7 service at the reception, the breakfast is fresh and sufficient.
This is my second stay at the B&B and there will be many more i hope.

The worst “hotel” to stay at. Upon arrival they placed me in a room which smelt awful. The online pictures didn’t match what the place is actually. The gloomy look, smell and most uncomfortable bed made me request another room for which I had to pay an additional £70. The breakfast was basic with toast and corn flakes. Reaching the reception you had to go through a narrow alleyway and walk 3 flights of stairs for check in and check out with your bags. The hotel is outside a restaurant and bar which the noise prevents you from sleeping, from 7 you can hear the kitchen (adjacent to my room) preparing for breakfast. No water, no kettle, no tea … worst stay!

I understand minibar and breakfasts were "covid safe" so adequate, at best. I realize the woman at front desk was upset because she was misinformed as to arrival time, although I had sent 2 emails. We were put in a room, in the annex, that should have been a double, but the pullout sofa "was broken". What I cannot understand is being lied to, more than once, about the wifi working. It was very intermittent, we could not make dinner reservations, we could not buy tickets (Biennale Architettura required online purchase). I asked other guests at breakfast, no it wasn't just my room. Do not try to gaslight me on something I know well.
There was no room service, as the website had promised, which was not an issue when we knew but that first night, exhausted but starving...
The location is perfect, the view charming, and everything, everyone, in Venice was perfect, but this hotel.

We stayed at palazzo guardi in mid August in the junior suite with canal view, it was perfect for us both.
The location was perfect close to everything, the room was spacious and the windows to look out at the canal were huge.
Perfect for a little break away, it had everything we needed.
Would recommend staying here.

Myself and husband stayed here for 2 night 14th to 16th April. We loved Venice and loved this location. Great time of year to visit, we were lucky with the weather, it was beautiful.

Within walking distance to all the main attractions and also near 2 water bus stops. Lovely street with bars and resultants. We loved the Giudecca canal area around the corner for food and drinks and watching the sun going down.

The hotel itself, we were happy with the breakfast (cooked and continental selection) and complimentary drinks in room (beer, coke, water) , coffee machine and toiletries (shower gel, soap, shower cap, slippers).

Thanks for a great stay

This was our second time at Palazzo Guardi and we love the real working canal view with the delivery boats and watching foot traffic. We spent pleasant time watching activities out the window. The room is beautifully historic. We were happy to find bacon and eggs at breakfast with many other options including brewed coffee along with hand crafted cappuccinos. It was wonderful to find the towel warmer worked!!! But it did leak. Two luggage cradles would be nicer than just the one provided. There were enough electrical outlets. We hope to return.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our trip to Italy. The location was excellent, right in the centre of Sorrento.

Reception and restaurant staff were so helpful and polite - they couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was perfect.

The small swimming pool and solarium on the roof were welcome at the end of a hot day and there were plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.

The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and had quiet air conditioning!!

Would definitely stay again.

I have stayed for two nights in February 2022 . We hoped to stay in the hotel, but they have putted us in the second building they bought (200 m away) , which is a "bed and breakfast" type of lodging then a hotel . I am not complaining, but I was a bit disappointed .
The room was spacious , but very dark due to the fact that the room windows are under an arcade. So if you are not ok with that , avoid it . The breakfast was ok , and the staff very amiable.

Room Tip: In Venice most streets are very narrow, so in night time its very sinister. Have this in mind.

Yes there is a lift in the building. It is a bit small in space - two persons only - but it works fine and the mechanism made us laugh very much every time we used it.
